Si tratta di un museo di nuova generazione che racconta, con linguaggio rigoroso ma accattivante, lo straordinario percorso della Medicina da disciplina antica a scienza moderna, con particolare attenzione alla storia della Scuola medica padovana.

I retraced the history of medicine dating back to the 14th century and visited MUSME, a technologically advanced museum of the history of medicine in Padua (Italy). Here, I met Nicolò Quareni, a business developer at MUSME, who showed me the ropes of the place.
MUSME provides high-tech 3D-mapping and interactive stations to help young generations to accost this old discipline. Awarded with the eContent Award Italy in 2015, and ranked highly as one of the top 200 things to do in Padua on TripAdvisor, makes MUSME a required stop for anyone who is passionate in medicine and technology.
Its biggest room contains an 8 meter-long man, where the history of anatomy and physiology is projected on the body. This is a modern anatomical theater where students can learn without dissecting a real human body.
MUSME is set upon San Francesco Grande hospital, built in 1414 and has gone down in history as being the first hospital worldwide to bring medical students next to bedsides.
