Farmers Market Hawaii - 21 Questions Part One
Farmers Market Hawaii
Hawaiian On The Move: This is Hilo Hawaii
Planning a trip to Hawaii but want some ideas other than Honolulu or Waikiki? How about Hilo? On this episode we will briefly cover the Town of Hilo my home. Hilo is the easternmost city of the state of Hawaii and has an average rainfall of 126 inches a year. Although it may be one of the rainiest towns in the world, when the sun is out Hilo shines brighter than any other city in all of Hawaii. That's why I am so proud to call it my home. I do not make any claim to the music you hear in this video and if you want to know the sound track go ahead and shazam it. If you liked the video let me know, and subscribe while you're at it. I also need to make a statement that my history accounts in this video may not be correct but feel free to do your own research, and the waterfall you see in this video is actually called Pe'epe'e Falls but growing up my friends and I would call it KPUA falls.

Shipman Beach, Puna, Big Island Hawaii Video
Come along with the iloko street crew as we take Leo on his first trip to Shipman Beach Puna Hawaii. Shipman beach is named after the water front estate located on the beach. The W. H. Shipman House is a historic home used by the family of William Herbert Shipman. In 1881 Shipman and two partners (Captain J. E. Eldarts and S. M. Damon) purchased the entire ahupaʻa (ancient land division) of Keaʻau, about 70,000 acres, for $20,000 from the King Lunalilo estate. In 1959, the W. H. Shipman Company sold about 15 square miles (39 km2) of land which became the Hawaiian Paradise Park subdivision in the Puna District, south of Hilo. It is located at 141 Kaʻiulani Street, named for Princess Kaʻiulani, the last crown princess of the Kingdom and Liliʻuokalani's niece. The public can only access the beach by hiking in from Beach rd. and kaloli dr. in Hawaiian Paradise Park. After about fifteen minutes of walking, comes the jungle part of the hike. The ground is made more of dirt, than lava, and there are tall trees canopying over you. It’s like walking through a tunnel of lush forest. Parts of the trail are very wide, because it use to be a road a long time ago. However, some parts of the trail are very narrow. After a long walk in the woods, the trail gradually turns into an ironwood forest, where the ground looks like a light brown carpet, because of the fallen pine needles. By now, you can see and hear the ocean a short distance away and you know you're not far away from this private beach.Soon, comes a field with tall grass, and a very narrow pathway. Before you know it, you can see the beach. If it’s high tide, there is no beach at all, but if it’s low tide you can see the sand - and let me tell you, this is some really neat-looking sand! It’s not exactly white or black, just sort of a swirly mix of both. In some places it sinks easily like quick sand. There are tall palm trees along the ocean, and on one side, there are trees with branches going over the water. A rope is tied to one of the branches for people to swing into the water with. While you are there, you will probably see some Nene Geese, the rare Hawaii state bird. Thank you for watching, come visit us for some BIG ISLAND adventure.

Hawaiian On The Move: This Is Puna Hawaii Part 2
KJ here again. So I am back in the district of Puna on the Big Island of Hawaii again with my friend Ronson. We'll be having lunch at restaurant Spoonfull located in the town of Kea'au and we'll be taking a stroll at Lava Tree State Park located near the town of Pahoa. I've had a few request to feature more of the Big Island and I hope you'll enjoy this episode. Aloha!
Kehena Drummers at Maku'u cliffs - Sunday June 3, 2018
Lava inundation in lower Puna has created a refugee situation, and for some, dancing and drumming together helps build community and togetherness. This is moments from Sunday June 3, 2018 near Pahoa Hawaii, four weeks into the Kiluea Leilani fissure eruptions.
Visiting Malama Flats, Puna Coast, Hawai‘i Historic Site
We offer a few natural observations of this area, correctly known as Ka`akepa, during high tide. It's ecologically unique due to how the land is sinking and affected by the ocean, even more so after the loss of the Kapoho coastline in the 2018 eruption.

MALAMA MARKET/PAHOA - Shopping Before The Lava Stopped Advancing
UPDATE!!
** Mar 18th 2015 -Lava has stalled and Malama Market has re-opened!
*Dec 16th 2014-The supermarket, one of the biggest stores in the center, plans to start removing equipment on Tuesday and shut down on Thursday. Malama Market said in a statement it was encouraging customers to keep shopping until its doors close.
The gas station would sell its remaining fuel and pump out what's leftover if it does have to evacuate, Oliveira said. It would then fill its tanks with water and firefighting foam.
This plan has been approved the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and by the state Department of Health, he said.
An earlier idea called for the gas station to put sand into the tanks, but this wouldn't have removed all flammable vapors. It also would have destroyed the pumping system. By using firefighting foam, the gas station may use the tanks again if lava bypasses the area and it wants to reopen.
SOUTH POINT (The Weishuhn Experience) Ep. 6
