Malpe Fishing for Monster Part-01 / Udupi Malpe / India
Its an awesome experience to work with Pro Angler Dwithi, Rajesh And Captain Nagesh.
Nagesh is one of the best Sport fishing person in Malpe. It's a two days trip with them and we found success by catching some monster fish over there.

Malpe Beach, St. Marys Island, Udupi, Karnataka, India
St Mary’s Island, also known as Coconut Island, can be found in the Arabian Sea off Udupi, Karnataka, India. It is well known for its distinctive geological rock formation of columnar Basaltic lava. The only way to get to the island is by boat from Malpe Beach. It is a 5 or 6 km distance from the mainland. It took us 30 minutes to reach there and cost us 400 Rs per person. Visitors are not allowed to take plastic bottles. You can buy fresh coconut water on the island. There is no habitation on the island
Take your shoes and sneakers off before you land on the island as you may lose your foot wear in the water. There is a souvenir shop that sells ornamental items and jewelry made with local shells. Try to not stay back on the island as there is no electricity. The climate is hot, and they should make more use of solar lights than is presently the case.
Malpe Beach has its own tourist attractions and water sports activities. There are lots of seafood restaurants. We went to Karavali restaurant where you can make use of the bathroom facility.

St mary's Island is approximately 15 Kms from Udupi town
You need to board the boat from Malpe fishing harbour
to reach St Mary's island.
Boat ticket price: 200rs per person (includes to and fro journey).
Buy tickets at: St Mary's Island boating office near the port.
St Mary's islands are known for their distinctive
geological formation of the hexagonal columns
of rock made of basalt.
Geological studies indicate that these islands were
created at around 88 million years ago when
Madagascar and Africa separated from India.

According to folk legend, in the year 1498, Vasco da Gama landed at
these Islands on his journey from Portugal and named one of these
islands, O Padrão de Santa Maria, as a dedication to Mother Mary.
St Mary's Island is one of the only four Geological
Monuments in Karnataka state and one of the 26 Geological Monuments in India
declared by the Geological Survey of India.

Malpe Beach Udupi is a beach town located at a mere distance of 6km from Udupi in Karnataka state of India. The beach forms a very important port and fishing harbour in the area. The natural port is picturesque, to the minutest details, with golden brown sand spread all over along with swaying palm trees and blue skies at the backdrop.

Malpe Beach Udupi is a natural port about six kilometers to the west of Udupi, Karnataka, India. An important port and a major fishing harbor on the Karnataka coast. It is a suburb in Udupi city . The town of Malpe Beach Udupi is associated largely with settlements of the Mogaveera fisherman community. Malpe is a hub of Mogaveera population.
