How to Draw a Sofa
Watch more How to Draw for Beginners videos:
Whether you want to design a living room arrangement for your furniture, sketch your ideal sofa, or draw a room scene, putting together a few basic shapes brings your ideas to life.
Step 1: Draw a horizontal rectangle
Draw a horizontal rectangle to represent the sofa base.
Step 2: Add a second horizontal rectangle
Add a second horizontal rectangle of the same size above the first, but slant the short lines slightly inward. Top it with a third rectangle, with the short lines slanted slightly outward for back cushions.
Tip
Use a ruler to draw straight lines.
Step 3: Draw tall, thin rectangles
Draw tall, thin rectangles adjacent to each side of the sofa base to represent its arms.
Step 4: Connect
Connect the arms' top outer points to the large upper rectangle with straight lines, repeating the inward angle of the middle rectangle to show perspective.
Step 5: Indicate cushions
Indicate cushions by drawing straight vertical lines to divide the sofa back and seat into two or three sections. Then draw a horizontal line slightly below the seat cushions and stretch it across the length of the original rectangle.
Step 6: Soften and define the shape
Soften and define the shape of the sofa's back, adding small half-circles on top of the tall rectangles to detail the arms.
Step 7: Add details
Add details such as cushion buttons, legs, pillows or fabric patterns.
Tip
Add period details to the basic shapes to draw historic pieces.
Step 8: Erase and shade
Erase unwanted lines. Then shade the sofa's shadowed areas to create a comfortable and cozy looking spot to stretch out and let the cares of the world slip away.

NYSTV The Forbidden Scriptures of the Apocryphal and Dead Sea Scrolls Dr Stephen Pidgeon Multi-lang
A goat herder near the region of Quaram, found ancient jars full of manuscripts which were eventually decoded to become the Dead Sea Scrolls.
(There was also a copy of the Book of Enoch that someone thought to include along with the Dead Sea Scrolls. The Book of Enoch might be the oldest book ever written).
The farmer ended up burning a lot of the pages for fire and a lot of pages were lost forever.
The pages that survived tells an interesting story. This interesting story is re-told by Dr. Stephen Pidgeon.
The following is taken from his website:
Dr. Pidgeon is a student of many languages, including Greek, Hebrew, Russian, French, Spanish and Italian. An avid reader and author, he has published over 30 books in the last several years.
In 2012 Dr. Pidgeon was a candidate for Attorney General for the State of Washington. He is the recipient of the 2008 Presidential Commission, the 2008 Reagan Congressional Commission, a two-time recipient of the Congressional Medal of Distinction (2006, 2007), and a designee for the 2006 Businessman of the Year award.
He has many topics of expertise, some of which are transhumanism, nano technology, Quantumn Computing, CERN, The Beast System, singularity and much more.
