Saryan Park, or Saryan’s Vernissage as it’s often called, is a place where artists have been exhibiting and selling their paintings since the 1980s. Located in the heart of Yerevan, Saryan Park has become a colorful corner of the city. The park is named after the famous Armenian painter Martiros Saryan.

YEREVAN, Armenia: Top sights and attractions of the Pink City (2016)
TURN ON SUBTITLES FOR EXPLANATORY NOTES ABOUT THE SIGHTS AND ATTRACTIONS!!

A weekend in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia
Yerevan is the capital of Armenia, a country located in the Caucasus, bordering Georgia, Turkey, Azerbaijan and Iran. It is largest city of Armenia as well as one of the world's oldest continuously inhabited cities.
In addition to this video, also check out my blog post 10 reasons why I fell in love with Yerevan, Armenia:
In this video, you will see Yerevan's most important sights and tourist attractions, including the following:
Republic Square can be considered the main square of Yerevan. The Government House, the History Museum and the National Gallery, the Marriott Hotel and several other government buildings are located on this huge square. Originally designed by Alexander Tamanyan in 1924, Republic Square is the favorite hangout of the locals. With its unique pink neoclassical buildings and the reflecting pool, Republic Square can easily be considered Yerevan’s architectural highlight. What I found remarkable about this square was the unified architectural style – all buildings share the same pink-ish and yellow-ish neoclassical design.
The Cascade is a staircase that connects Yerevan’s center (Kentron) with the Monument neighborhood. It consists of multiple levels and a total of 572 steps. Apart from its architectural magnificence, the Cascade offers sweeping views of the city and, on clear days, mighty Mount Ararat in the background.
The Cafesjian Center for the Arts is an arts museum located within the Cascade complex. It offers a variety of exhibitions and dozens of modern and contemporary sculptures by well-known international sculptors. The sculptures are scattered around Cascade Park, the green area in the lower section of the Cascade complex.

Viva Yerevan
Welcome to Yerevan. The capital city of Armenia, Yerevan, is becoming more and more beautiful and attractive, friendly, stable, tolerant and safe. This thriving capital has evolved spectacularly. Its history relates to the Erebuni City founded by the king of Urartu Argishti I in 782 B.C. Today, the artifact of those ancient times is the historical-archeological museum built near the ruins of Erebuni fortress.
Yerevan is getting younger continuously and attracts the public with her 20th century pink features, her Republic Square, Opera House, and other architectural structures.
The National Art Gallery presents the works of Auguste Rodin, Peter Paul Rubens, Marc Chagall, Georges Braque, the famous Armenian painters Hovhannes Ayvazovski, Martiros Saryan, and others.
Now Yerevan is an attractive modern city, rich in beautiful monuments and sights of interest, among which Gafesjian Art Center is distinguished; it is friendly called Cascade by the locals – a favorite place not only for the residents of Yerevan but also for its guests as well. Cascade is interesting for its concert and various exhibition halls, open-air gallery alleys, where together with well-known sculpture of Alexsander Tamanian, founder of Armenian new architecture, some of Fernando Botero’s and others sculptures are exhibited.
You are invited to visit restaurants, wineries, Yerevan ARARAT Brandy Factory, clubs, pubs and entertainment sites which night life in Yerevan offers. As well one can enjoy cozy shopping.
Be prepared to be surprised and impressed in Yerevan!

Armenian painters' vernissage in Saryan Park, Yerevan
A beautiful green park during the weekdays, Saryan Park transforms into an outdoor exhibition of paintings on the weekends, with artists often acting as salespeople of their original creations. The Painters' Vernissage is a cornerstone in the mosaic of the cultural life of Yerevan. Yerevan's Vernissage was established in the 1980s by Armenian artists who wanted to bring fruits of their labor directly to the people. Originally located the square in front of the Union of Armenian Artists, the Vernissage moved to the park around the Sarian Monument across from the Opera Square, an implicit tribute to the legendary painter. On week-ends, the lawns in the park disappear under rows of paintings, while people wander the corridors between them, appreciating and purchasing the high-quality artistic creations.

Treasures of the National Gallery of Armenia
With a magnificent art collection of over 40,000 holdings, the National Gallery of Armenia is renowned globally.
The gallery’s collection includes ancient Greek and European art, as well as paintings, sculptures, and other works by giants of Armenian art such as Martiros Saryan, Karzou, Jansem, and Hakob Hakobyan.
Comprising 55 exhibition rooms as well as departments of restoration, preservation, and digitization, the gallery also has the distinction of being the holder of the world’s second largest Aivazovsky collection.
The National Gallery of Armenia continues to digitize its holdings and make them available on its website, at gallery.am.
After the gallery was renovated in the early 2000s with the support of the Lincy Foundation, the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund built a boiler room and installed a central-heating system at the facility, in order to ensure the maintenance of a stable temperature for the priceless artworks.

Cascade! The best romantic place in Yerevan, Armenia
Каскад, Ереван (Армения) - одна из самых главных достопримечательностей города и на мой взгляд, самое романтичное место.
