Touring the Albin Polasek Museum and Sculpture Gardens in Winter Park | ChadGallivanter
Albin Polasek was a famous Czech-American sculptor who spent his life creating more than 400 works. Nearly half of those pieces are now on display at his home, studio and sculpture gardens in Winter Park, Florida. Morgans at Winter Park Concours d'Elegance
Morgan Motor Car Company built cars from 1910 in Worcestershire, England. H.F.S. Morgan first experimented with motorcycles, then turned his attention to cars. This is a regional meet of Morgans from all over the Southeast U.S., including one who drove his vintage car from the Northwest U.S. I've never seen such a gathering of Morgans! They were noted for their wooden framed chassis..and still are! The last to appear in the video are the most recent iterations, still with the wooden frame.
Orlando, Florida - Harry P. Leu Gardens (2019)
The Harry P. Leu Gardens are semi-tropical and tropical gardens in Orlando, Florida, United States. The gardens contain nearly 50 acres (200,000 m2) of landscaped grounds and lakes, with meandering trails shaded by 200-year-old oaks and forests of camellias. They are open to the public. The address is 1920 North Forest Avenue Orlando, FL 32803.
A 15-acre (61,000 m2) section of the park is a U.S. historic district. As such, it is known as the Mizell-Leu House Historic District (or Leu Botanical Gardens and Leu House Museum). It received that designation on December 29, 1994. According to the National Register of Historic Places, it contains 3 historic buildings.
The Leu Gardens were started by Mr. and Mrs. Harry P. Leu, who in 1936 purchased Leu House and 40 acres (160,000 m2) of land. The Leus traveled all over the world and brought back many exotic plants and many varieties (240) of camellias for their gardens. In 1961, the Leus deeded the house and the gardens to the city of Orlando.

My Journey Contest- Best Kept Secret- Winter Park, Florida
Winter Park is one of Florida's Best Kept Secrets. It is just past downtown, Orlando. There are so many options for a fun-filled day in Winter Park! The scenic boat tour, Peterbrooke Chocolatier, picturesque sites, museums, dining options and shopping are just a few of the highlights of Park Avenue, the central hub of Winter Park! If you are looking for a place to escape to and unwind, you should DEFINITELY check out Winter Park! It's one of my favorite places to visit.
The Orlando Urban & Mead Bicycle Trails
Mid-January 2015, I found a new local trail ride for me and my bicycle. The Orlando Urban Trail, also called the Dinky Line which connects to The Mead Trail a small bicycle trail which leads to the beautiful Mead Gardens in Winter Park, Florida. I really like these two small trails. It's a great way to spend an afternoon and enjoy a nice lunch (I bring my own organic food) in Mead Park.
