MICHIGAN MASTERS at the KRESGE ART MUSEUM
May 2 July 31, 2009
This exhibition brings together works by 30 artists deemed the most exciting and inventive of the thousands active in the state today. Best of the vetted best, artworks included in the exhibit stimulate, challenge and reward viewers. Curator April Kingsley surveyed the wealth of artistic expression across the state to assemble this ambitious show, which concentrates on artists who have practiced their craft for decades. Many have taught in university art departments and art schools across the state and exhibit and are collected across the country. In addition to the art on view in the museum, three sculptures on MSU's south campus are part of the show.

Abandoned Michigan - Graffiti In Traverse City
On today's adventure I'm up north in Traverse City again. In my last video I was out looking for the hippie tree and I stumbled onto this cool place. An abandoned building in Traverse City Michigan covered in all kinds of cool graffiti. The lesson we learned today is - Even when things don't seem like they are going your way, just keep trying and pushing forward, because you never know what is going to happen next. Take chances and go out and adventure, outdoors as well as in every one of life's journeys. Also today's question of the day is graffiti art? Let me know down in the comment section!

Her work has been featured in the Michigan 24/7 photography book, Whisper in the Woods Nature Journal, the Rockford Squire newspaper, Michigan Blue and Michigan History magazines, and the Explore St. Louis Official Visitors Guide.
In August of 2009, Niedzwiecki was awarded second place in the Pure Michigan Photo Competition, a highly-competitive event sponsored through Travel Michigan, (a division of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation) the State of Michigans official agency for the promotion of tourism. The 30 images Niedzwiecki captured in Muskegon County will be showcased in a book coming out in February of 2010.

Sloan Museum - Art, Cars, & Stars Exhibit
Journey through history to unveil the story behind a true American legacy.
General Motors Art, Cars and Stars is a unique exhibit suitable for all ages, created for the Sloan Museum by Motorcities Dreamakers and supported by Fifth Third Bank.
The display was designed to entertain and educate visitors to the Sloan Museum in a compelling, visual celebration of more than 100 years of General Motors history.
The exhibit grew as a collaboration between the Sloan and Motorcities Dreamakers to honor the success of GM while increasing attendance and adding a new dimension in gift shop revenue.
Motorcities Dreamakers managed every aspect of this exclusive display from the formation of all printed materials (including the linear timeline surrounding the outside of the exhibit) to the selection, procurement and placement of the featured vehicles and art itself.
The design and production of the exhibit was developed from over a year of researching archival materials, reviewing historical artifacts and documenting narratives with the direct involvement of local and national automotive historians.
The entire 16-week exhibit/display features 120 works of art from 37 contributing artists. Motorcities Dreamakers commissioned original artwork and unearthed rare and seldom-seen pieces for and, along with the GM Heritage Center has coordinated various historical vehicles that represent significant milestones in GMs legacy.
