WE FOUND AN ABANDONED SOVIET MILITARY BARRACKS IN RUSSIA
In this Episode of our Adventure along the Trans-Siberian Railway in Russia, we arrive in Vladivostok in Primorsky Krai after 80 hours on the train from Ulan-Ude, and head out into the deep green wilderness.
Here, we meet some friends and explore Russia's beautiful landscape. While doing so, we encountered an abandoned military barracks. I had heard a lot about the abandoned Soviet Military Bases in eastern Europe, and even went urban exploring a military bunker once, but nothing like this.
After we returned to the camp, and caught fresh seafood with our hands, made a pasta, and drank around a campfire. The perfect day.
A bit of a background story. This is a train journey of 10,000 km across Russia, the biggest country in the world. 25 days to visit Saint Petersburg, Moscow, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Ulan-Ude, and Vladivostok.

Russia - Collection Of Trojan Gold On Display
T/I: 11:16:02
The controversial archeological collection , 'Gold of Troy', will be seen by the public for the first time in over half a century when an exhibition of the most valuable pieces of the so called Schlieman collection opens in Moscow this week. Two hundred and fifty-nine priceless objects in nineteen
bulletproof glass cases will be put on public view in Moscow's Pushkin Museum on Tuesday, April 16. The whole collection consisting of 637 pieces was confiscated in Germany in 1945 at the end of World War Two by the Red Army. The treasures were brought to Moscow and then divided between The
Hermitage Museum in St Petersburg and Moscow's Pushkin Museum. The Pushkin got the most valuable part of the collection, composed of objects made in gold, silver, crystal and precious stones. Since the Middle Ages travellers had tried to find the site of the ancient city of Troy. In 1873, at Hissarlik in Turkey, Heinrich Schlieman, a German amateur archeologist, discovered a unique complex of treasures recognized by archeologists as Trojan artifacts.

With the collapse of communism many things have changed. The fallen empire left behind a scene of devastation in huge parts of the world. What remains from the socialist era today, are ruins which tell the history of the past. These include the final resting places of precious artifacts. In the fourth episode of our Hungary road trip series, we're exploring maybe the most unique vehicle graveyards of the country. From legendary jet fighters to partially one hundred-year-old steam engines, we discovered true achievements from Soviet years. Also this time, we had to be especially careful since many adventurers before us have been caught here in the past. Well-prepared, we started two infiltrations of the most impressive vehicle graveyards we have experienced so far!

Yekaterinburg's Mass Burial Site And Shooting Range
A memorial to the victims of the Soviet secret police in Yekaterinburg, Russia, would be a place of quiet reflection if it weren't for the sound of gunshots from a nearby shooting range. Activists say the planned expansion of the sporting facility will encroach on an unknown number of mass graves.

Jozsef Nyisztor: The Soviet women in the video, who were eating the Toblerone, are the most beautiful women in the World. They should be fashion models, and not grave robbers.

Scott Summers: If i was to fall in combat.I wouldnt want my corpse to be moved away from where I was at.Its like an honor to die among my fellow soldiers with my remains there instead of some goddamn museum or preserves.I want someone to chance upon it and go like damn. These people faught for us.Gave the ultimate price.Hell i would be happy to stay there.
All I can think when watching is that those same wet, soggy and miserable swamp-like conditions they're digging in were probably as it was when the poor soldiers were fighting there all those years ago. It must have been sheer hell on earth. Waterlogged and tangled underfoot, difficult conditions to navigate when not fighting all out war, but crawling through that undergrowth with bullets flying and shell exploding all around, trees falling, mud flying... sheesh! Cold, wet and no doubt very tired, punctuated by sheer terror.
Only GOD and the earth of Mother Russia KNOW the TRUE number of the fallen!!
