Minoritenkirche
Die Minoriten oder Minderbrüder (fratres minores) waren Franziskaner. Sie wurden 1224 von Herzog Leopold VI. gerufen und gründeten das Wiener Minoritenkloster. Nach dem Stadtbrand von 1275 wurde von Ottokar Přemysl der Grundstein für die neue Kirche gelegt. Sie war eine der ersten gotischen Kirchen im ostösterreichischen Raum. Nach Ottokars Tod in der Schlacht auf dem Marchfeld wurde er hier dreißig Wochen aufgebahrt.
Bedeutende Veränderungen gab es unter den ersten Habsburgern. Blanche von Valois, die Gattin Rudolfs III., ließ eine Kapelle für ihren Großvater, dem Heiligen Ludwig von Frankreich, an die Nordseite des Langhauses anbauen, die 1328 vollendet wurde. Sie hatte einen separaten Eingang und keine Verbindung zum Langhaus. Dies wurde ab etwa 1340 verändert, als die Ludwigskapelle mit dem bis dahin zweischiffigen Langhaus zu einem nunmehr dreischiffigen Kirchenraum mit zwei Chören vereinigt wurde. Im Langhaus wurden neue Bündelpfeiler eingezogen und im Westen wurde ein zusätzliches Joch sowie ein neues Portal angebaut. Der ganze Bau folgt dem Schema französischer Kathedralarchitektur. Die Baumeister sind unbekannt, man nimmt aber an, dass Jacobus Parisiensis, der Beichtvater Herzog Albrechts II. führend beteiligt war.

Миноритенкирхе (Minoritenkirche) построена в 1340-1400 гг. Под её крестовым сводом находится мозаика работы Джакомо Рафаэли – копия «Тайной вечери» Леонардо да Винчи. Миноритенкирхе основана орденом миноритов, которые обосновались в Вене с 1224 года. Знаменитая мозаичная копия была выполнена в 1809 году по заказу Наполеона. После отречения Наполеона император Франциск II пожелал выставить «Тайную Вечерю» в Бельведере. Это оказалось невозможным — из-за больших размеров работы — да и весила мозаика более двадцати тонн. Тогда решено было поместить её в Миноритенкирхе.
Minoritenkirche (English: Friars Minor Conventual Church, related to the monastic Order of Friars Minor Convetual monks is a church built in French Gothic style. Construction of the church was completed in 1350. Here you can see mosaic of the Last Supper by Giacomo Raffaelli, a life-sized copy of Leonardo da Vinci`s The Last Supper on the church's northern wall. Comissioned by Napoleon 1 in 1809, but it was not finished before Napoleon's abdication. Francis II of Austria bought it, wanting to install it in the Belvedere in Vienna. As it was too large for the building, it was set up on the north wall of the church, where it remains to this day. The mosaic is 9.18 x 4.47 m and weight approximatively 20 tons.
