Planetarium in Moscow subway to celebrate first Sputnik flight
(4 Oct 2017) A mobile planetarium has been installed at one of Moscow's metro stations to celebrate the anniversary of the first Sputnik flight.
The installation was designed to be focussed on children, but commuters of all ages can visit the planetarium to enjoy a space show and learn about modern space studies.
The 1957 launch of Sputnik - the world's first artificial satellite - ushered in the space era and showcased the Soviet Union's military might and technological prowess.
Scientist Sergey Korolyov ordered his team of engineers to design a primitive orbiter to save time and beat the US into space.
The craft, which was built in only a few months, was named PS-1 for Prosteishiy Sputnik - or the Simplest Satellite.
The satellite, weighing less than 84 kilograms (about 184 pounds) and slightly larger than a basketball, was a pressurised sphere of polished aluminum alloy with two radio transmitters and four antennas.
Sputnik contained a radio transmitter, broadcasting a distinctive beep-beep-beep sound.
It orbited the Earth for three months before burning up in the atmosphere.

An American artist drives around Moscow in a giant duck-mobile
An American artist and photographer Bart Dorsa is riding around Moscow in a two-meter high duck-mobile. According to the creator of this unusual vehicle, it is easy to operate the 300 kilogram design -- you don't even need a driver's license. In reality, the duck-mobile is just a giant bicycle.
The duck-mobile is powered by conventional pedals. It can be ridden alone, or in the company of friends -- this bicycle has four seats. Torches light up the duck's head with flames, to the delight of the public.

Ashitani Battery (葦谷砲台)
In this video I go to Ashitani Houdai or Ashitani Battery. It is located behind the Maizuru coal-fired power plant. It was built in 1899 (明治32年).
This time it was a bit different from my other adventures. I went with a group of people. I had been wanting to go to this location but I wasn't really sure where it was and how easy I could have gotten to it since it is behind the coal plant. Well, it wasn't that hard I hope I can find my way to another fortress in the area soon.

The 170th anniversary of Sberbank, the undisputed leader of the Russian banking industry, was held on 12 November 2011 at Gostiny Dvor ('the Merchant Court') in Moscow. This year the bank has set a new course for modernization, which was vividly reflected in the number of hi-tech solutions used at the event.
The space of Gostiny Dvor was transformed beyond recognition, with the nineteenth-century inner facades of the site turned into a giant projection screen. The content for the projection was prepared by the Sila Sveta (Moscow). Thanks to the Screenberry media server, we were able to perfectly calibrate the projection for the walls, despite each facade's arch having its own unique size.
In addition, a rear-projection dome, 10 m in diameter with 10 Panasonic 12000 ANSI projectors, was installed in the middle of the hall. We used Screenberry360™ with an auto-calibration module to make the projection perfectly match the dome’s geometry.

A strange incident occurred in Siberia of Russia. The local people saw something like a ball in the sky in the sky, which was very big and bright. It is claimed that these globular items are shining, but not aliens.
After the incident in midnight on the night of the incident, there is considerable fear in the local people. People believe that white and green shine is the aliens. Vasily writes that, 'I had come out drinking cigarettes, and seeing this strange scene in the sky, it seemed as if it felt that now the world is about to end.
The Ministry of Defense also released a statement saying that it was an unusual thing flying in northern Siberia. On the other hand, these horoscopes were captured by the photographers of Salekhard city, in their camera.
Photographer explains, 'I was in awe for a moment, I did not know what was happening after all.' The flashing thing like a ball in the sky gradually became extinct by turning into the Arc.
Actually, Russia's military in Moscow has made a big drill and introduced the world to its power. In this drill, Russia has claimed four intercontinental ballistic missiles. The most important thing about these missiles was that, all these missiles are capable of carrying nuclear weapons. The Ministry of Defense in Moscow also confirmed this launch.
