How Japanese Americans Were Forced Into Concentration Camps During WWII | Flashback | History
The internment of Japanese Americans began after President Roosevelt signed Executive Order 9066 in February 1942. For the following three years, American men, women, and children were forced to live under prison-like conditions in remote concentration camps. This 1943 film explains the internment from the U.S. government's perspective. #HistoryChannel #Flashback

Auschwitz: Drone video of Nazi concentration camp - BBC News
Drone video shows the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp as it is today - 70 years after it was liberated by Soviet troops. The camp in Poland is now maintained as a World Heritage Site and is visited by thousands of tourists and survivors every year. Auschwitz was the largest camp established by the Germans during World War II. More than a million people - the vast majority of them Jews - died there between 1940, when it was built, and 1945, when it was liberated by the Soviet army.
Railway tracks into Auschwitz-Birkenau - Trains filled with victims from throughout occupied Europe arrived at the camp almost every day between 1942 and the summer of 1944.
Ruins of wooden huts at Birkenau - Birkenau (or Auschwitz II) was erected in 1941 solely as a death camp, the wooden huts are now in ruins with only brick fireplaces and chimneys remaining.
Entrance to Auschwitz I -The wrought-iron sign over the entrance bears the words Arbeit Macht Frei - Work sets you free.
Auschwitz I - The brick-built buildings were the former cavalry barracks of the Polish Army.
Courtyard between blocks 10 and 11 at Auschwitz I - Block 11 was called the Block of Death by prisoners. Executions took place between Block 10 and Block 11 and posts in the yard were used to string up prisoners by their wrists.
Auschwitz Birkenau is now a museum run by the Polish Culture Ministry, and a Unesco world heritage site.

HENRY FORD'S MIRROR OF AMERICA LIFE IN THE UNITED STATES 1914-1945 FORD AUTOMOBILES 62474
Automaker Henry Ford left behind a massive gift to the United States in the form of a vast non-fiction film collection, recorded from 1914-1945. Henry Ford’s Mirror Of America showcases the films from the Ford Historical Film collection that capture America during that era. It gives a glimpse into the life of America during that period, featuring much more than just the happenings of the Ford Motor Company. The film opens with Henry Ford sitting next to a river, camping with Thomas Edison, shooting with John Burroughs, and doing things with his grandkids. He arrives at his house with wife Clara on his quadracycle (00:50). Ford drives a horse-drawn plow on the farm (01:15). There are various shots of the buildings he owns (02:00), including the Highland Park plant (02:33). The film shows farmers using horse-drawn equipment (03:58), women performing their chores on the farm, and kids walking to school on a muddy road (05:01). Students climb up an elm tree and lower themselves off using the branches as an elevator (05:16). Next, the film shows Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington (05:55), a shot of the White House and one of its rooms. There are shots of the streets of Boston and New York City, as well as the latter’s Hippodrome Theatre. Passengers board a boat to take a tour of New York City (07:00), seeing the city’s waterfront, a Navy cruiser, and an ocean liner. The film shows the Woolworth Building (07:41), 5th Avenue and Riverside Drive, and Central Park (08:06). Kids ride a merry-go-round at Coney Island (08:39); they also go down slides and ride on the Human Pool Table. People dance along the water’s edge. People enter a hotel shaped as an elephant in Atlantic City (09:40). At Bell Isle (10:10), near Detroit, people pack the banks of the lagoon while others go out in boats. During winter, ice boats zip along a frozen lake (10:49). There is also footage of an automobile race (11:10), Buffalo Bill on tour with his circus (11:21), and Woodrow Wilson throwing out the first ball at a baseball game (11:43). Other shots of famous people include Luther Burbank, Thomas Edison in 1915, Joseph G. Cannon of Illinois, and Will Rogers. Next, the film takes viewers to Glacier National Park (12:54), where a man falls through the snow field. Women in a factory make footballs (14:00); others press shirts using large machines. Workers assemble the wheels and spokes of the Model T Ford in Michigan (15:03). Men get together in Vicksburg, Mississippi during 1917 to commemorate the battle during Civil War. Theodore Roosevelt is greeted by fans (17:32). Footage shows a parade marching down a city street (17:54). Soldiers train prior to leaving for WWI (18:18). Ford is shown with the U.S. Secretary of Navy (18:47) as the former receives a contract to build boats; the film then cuts to Ford’s new plant where Eagle boats are made. At Highland Park, an experimental tank with two Model T engines crosses a field (19:33). Soldiers leave for WWI amid great fanfare (20:08). The film shows more testing of small tanks at Highland Park, as well as a larger tank (20:55) that punches through a building wall. At Highland Park, there is a parade and rally supporting the war effort. A heavy bomber taxis on a runway (21:50); a U.S. battleship sails out to sea (23:33). Britain’s Lord Northcliffe drives a new Fordson tractor at Henry Ford’s farm (23:55). People flood a street to celebrate the end of the war (24:36). The films shows the parade in Washington (25:01) with President Hardy and General Pershing on their way to Arlington to bury the unknown soldier. Men and machines work to build new roads (26:20). There are shots of Model Ts driving on paved roads, dirt roads, across a river, and along a train bridge. That is followed by a montage of Model Ts being put together at the Highland Park plant (27:15). A Model T drives through a giant redwood tree in California. Ford camps in the Smoky Mountains with Thomas Edison and Harvey Firestone (30:21); President Harding pays a visit to the camp. There are a variety of shots showing American life, including a tractor dealership, electricity in cities, traffic in a city intersection, and a policeman directing traffic (33:00). The film closes with shots of cities and rural areas, cars driving, Charles Lindbergh landing the Spirit of St Louis at Ford Airport, and a St. Louis Airlines plane taking off.
This film is part of the Periscope Film LLC archive, one of the largest historic military, transportation, and aviation stock footage collections in the USA. Entirely film backed, this material is available for licensing in 24p HD, 2k and 4k. For more information visit
Palm Springs revamps trailer park with mid-century tiny homes
Built in the 1940s, the Palm Canyon Mobile Club was showing its age when the owners approached realtor Paul Kaplan about helping to sell new homes in the park. Kaplan suggested a fresh start:investing in tiny homes instead of traditional mobile homes.
Rather than partnering with a prefab designer or tiny home architect, they chose to work with a traditional mobile home manufacturer because of the scale of the project (100 homes).
Working with manufactured home builder Silvercrest, they pushed for a modern, Midcentury-inspired design more fitting of Palm Springs and avoiding some of the hallmark details of conventional mobile homes like ceiling moldings and six-panel doors.
There's also a stigma against mobile home parks, explains Kaplan. You know the whole trailer trash kind of thing, and I think people are re-looking at it and seeing it really provides a nice sense of community. The Palm Canyon Mobile Club has a renovated pool and clubhouse with workout room and community kitchen. The houses start at $115,000 for the 600 square foot model, with a $650 monthly rental fee for the site.

No Permit Required! How to Buy Land for Your Off Grid Log Cabin or Tiny Home in Canada
Find out how to find and finance a property with no permit requirements and very low taxes in Ontario, Canada.
I found my solution in the form of an unorganized township in Ontario, Canada. Here, I am unencumbered by government oversight. With no building permit requirement and very low annual property taxes, I am free to build what I want, where I want and when I want. Without oversight, I am free to build another log cabin. This one is 10 feet by 20 feet - 200 square feet plus a 70 square foot covered porch and a back deck overlooking the stream, which will eventually be screened in.
How to find a property in an unorganized township
1. Search Realtor.ca in the area that you are interested in.
2. Contact real estate agents in desired locations and asked for a list of unorganized townships in the area.
3. Ask realtor for a list of properties for sale in an unorganized townships. Include already developed properties - sometimes the building is not suitable for habitation but beneficial infrastructure is in place, such as driveway, well and septic.
4. Visit (Crown Land Use Policy Atlas) to see what public lands are located near your property. Ideally, a large park of public land should be within walking distance.
5. Spend time on Google Earth to get an idea of what surrounds the property - lakes and rivers, landfill sites, other developments, mines, quarries, etc.

March 31 and April 1, 2017 - We made a mistake...kind of a big one on the vacation to San Felipe in Baja California, Mexico. On our way out, we HAD to make sure that we stopped at Valle De Los Gigantes. This is a forest of cordon cacti that are 1500 years old! Then back on the road to leave the country we got caught by United States border patrol at the Mexico Border in Mexicali Calexico.

We Went To Gay Conversion Therapy Camp (Part 1/3)
Watch Part 2 now on VICE:
Conversion therapy is the practice of curing gay people by trying to turn them straight through counseling and lifestyle restrictions. The practice dates back to the early Freudian period, when homosexuality was considered pathological and attempts to treat it were deemed appropriate. Today, however, homosexuality has been removed from the American Psychiatric Association's list of mental disorders, and conversion therapy is considered ineffective, harmful, and potentially deadly.
Regardless of a nationwide battle toward the acceptance of same-sex marriage and equal rights for gay people, conversion therapy is still a problem, and it's being practiced every single day in the United States and throughout the world.
In this special report, VICE gets exclusive access to one of the hundreds of gay-conversion-therapy organizations, groups, and sessions in the United States. At the Journey into Manhood program, men pay more than $600 to attend a weekend retreat where they participate in exercises and activities the staff members claim will help them battle their same-sex orientation. The only qualification to become a staff member is to have successfully completed the program.
The report meets with the founder of reparative therapy, Dr. Joseph Nicolosi, who is illegally practicing on minors in the State of California, and investigates the controversial legal battle to fight conversion therapy for individuals under 18 years of age. We also travel to the annual Gay Christian Network Conference, speak with former ex-gay leaders including John Smid of Love in Action, who is now married to his gay partner, and hear the grueling stories of the individuals who have survived this brutal practice.

What It Takes To Survive Coast Guard Boot Camp
We spent four days inside the United States Coast Guard's intense, eight-week basic training program in Cape May, New Jersey. Coast Guard recruits undergo an intense journey that’s heavy on both academic and physical challenges. What sets it apart are the brutal “smoke sessions,” where recruits are disciplined as a group for mistakes made by individuals in their respective companies. We were embedded at Training Center Cape May for four days, allowing us to see different companies at various stages of the program, culminating with the emotional graduation ceremony on the Friday of week eight.

Stabbing in Chico, California Saturday August 26th, 2017 the year of the Trump.
Don't know too much about what happened except for the fact that I was the one who called nine-one-one. That's after somebody came up knocking on my window while I was asleep but at first I was like I'm tired go away and then I learned that it was James screaming that he had just been stabbed. I know him Loosely and he's a good guy, we sometimes get into our little debates about how God made me which he doesn't understand transgender but, then again, I don't even understand what the hell made me came out except for the fact that I wanted to live as a bitch so I could Out-bitch the bitches, if that makes any sense. Checking into account that I hated the Yuppie bitches so I can Southbury, Connecticut and all throughout Connecticut and Westchester County New York who made my life a living miserable hell. All because they were looking for Yuppie Charming and I had no Yuppy Charming to offer them. Anyway, life goes on in the pile of shit of the first world, United but divided States of America.
