This Pumpkin Bread Recipe from the Monastery of the Angels in Los Angeles is one of those sure things.
The original publication of the recipe comes from the epic LA Times recipe database in the form of a culinary SOS. I’ve made a few minor adjustments, but the formula is all the sisters.
Pumpkin pie spice instead of nutmeg is nice for the added clove and cardamom flavors.

We go to downtown Los Angeles to interview Jeff Dietrich, the Director of the Catholic Worker, which is an organization that is making a difference with the homeless of Los Angeles. We find out what they do as well as its origins as part of the legacy of renowned Catholic Dorothy Day and how it has lived on as a service to the poorest of the poor of Los Angeles.
Then we go and visit The Monastery of the Angels in the heart of Hollywood on the corner of Hollywood and Vine and interview the Nuns there.
And finally, we take a tour of our first of twenty two missions - the San Gabriel Mission - with the irreverent and colorful Joe Estevez.

Vicki, my British friend, and I decided to spend Christmas 2004 with the Benedictines near Victorville, CA. The food was exceptional and atmosphere was peaceful. Unless you are a retreatant, reservations are by invitation only.

Like always do I spend my time visiting The Carmelite Monastery of Cristo Rey because my Daughter is a Carmelite Nun so I make a video of the ceremony of the Baby Jesus on Christmas night the one is going to be next. or on top of this one. when you open my page.
