Lugano - Monte Brè / La Funicolare - Schweiz Suisse Switzerland
Il Monte Brè sopra Lugano (925 m s.l.m.), la montagna più soleggiata della Svizzera, offre un panorama sul lago Ceresio, sulla città di Lugano, sul Monte Rosa (a 80 km di distanza) e verso l'Italia fino alle alpi marittime (a 230 km di distanza). Sulle pendici del Monte Brè si adagiano i quartieri di Gandria, Castagnola e Viganello.
La vetta del Monte Brè è raggiungibile in funicolare da Cassarate o in automobile. Dalla vetta in 15 minuti si scende al villaggio di Brè, un nucleo abitato ancora conservato allo stato agreste, con le case e strade in sasso. (pupliziert: Wikipedia)
Der Monte Brè (925 m ü. M.) ist ein Aussichtsberg östlich von Lugano an der Flanke des Monte Boglia (1'516 m ü. M.) mit Blick auf die Bucht von Lugano und die Walliser und Berner Alpen. Er gilt als einer der sonnigsten Punkte der Schweiz. Nach SOIUSA gehört er zu den Comer Voralpen innerhalb der grösseren Sektion Luganer Voralpen. (Quelle: Wikipedia)
Monte Brè (925 m) is a small mountain east of Lugano on the flank of Monte Boglia (1,516 m) with a view of the bay of Lugano and the Pennine Alps and the Bernese Alps. It is considered one of the sunniest points in Switzerland.

La Funicolare Monte Brè - Funicular Suisse Lugano Switzerland
On July 25th my family and I returned to Lugano Switzerland one of the things I wanted to do again was ride the Funicular which is like a cable car, mini train that goes up and down the Monte Bre.
This Funicular was built in 1906 so it is 110 years old, it used to be the main way up the mountain, there are now roads as well, as you will see. I take you in and on the Funnicular to the top of the Mountain and then show you a few still of the spectacular views.
