Montrose Air Station Heritage Centre - End of Pilot Training Project
Montrose Air Station was the first military operational Air Station in Great Britain. No. 2 Squadron, Royal Flying Corps set up there in 1913 and it became an important pilot training base for both World Wars. Many of the pilots who fought in the Battle of Britain were trained at Montrose. The Pilot Training Project was devised to promote a greater understanding by young people of the training the pilots received and the dangers they faced.

Montrose: A Ghost Story (Part Two)
In part one I told the tale of a phantom pilot who once wandered the old Montrose Airfield in Angus, Scotland, and I briefly touched upon the life of the pilot it was thought to be.
However, There is a second story linked to Montrose. Many believe that the apparition in this story is also Desmond Arthur, but others say that this is a completely separate case.

In digging into the history of Twinwoods, we also meet paranormal investigator and author, Adrian Perkins to talk about his investigation of the site.
Long time listener and patron Andrew shares another of his paranormal experiences from Okinawa, Kirsty recounts her experiences at Hohne Barracks in Germany that are adjacent to the Bergen Belsen concentration camp and Erin gets her fingers burnt whilst contacting the other side.

HMS Montrose, a British frigate shadowing the BP-owned tanker, was forced to move between the three boats and the tanker, a spokesman said.
He described the Iranians' actions as contrary to international law.
Iran had threatened to retaliate for the seizure of one of its own tankers, but denied any attempted seizure.
Boats believed to belong to Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) approached the tanker, British Heritage, and tried to bring it to a halt as it was moving out of the Gulf into the Strait of Hormuz.

The Royal Aircraft Factory B.E.2 was a British single-engine tractor two-seat biplane which was in service with the Royal Flying Corps from 1912 until the end of World War I.About 3,500 were built.Initially used as front-line reconnaissance aircraft and light bombers; variants of the type were also used as night fighters.Like many warplanes since, the B.E.2 was retained in front-line service long after it had become obsolete, for want of a suitable replacement.

Montrose, Angus
Montrose is a coastal resort town and former royal burgh in Angus, Scotland. It is situated 38 miles north of Dundee between the mouths of the North and South Esk rivers. It is the northernmost coastal town in Angus and developed at a natural harbour that traded in skins, hides and cured salmon in medieval times.
With a population of approximately 12,000, the town functions as a port, but the major employer is GlaxoSmithKline, which was saved from closure in 2006. The skyline of Montrose is dominated by the 220-foot steeple, designed by James Gillespie Graham and built between 1832 and 1834.
