Lake Tolire and Mount/Volcano Gamalama on Ternate island, Ternate island, Indonesia
Lake Tolire is infested with crocodiles and therefore not accessible to humans. Gamalama volcano has erupted 5 times the last 35 years , the most recent being 2011, when Indonesia closed the local airport and domestic airspace for several days.

Ternate City is a bustling, busy city of contrasts: old and new, traditional and contemporary, colorful and dreary, clean and dirty. We saw only a small portion of it, but were very fortunate to be invited to many unique events, such as traditional Indonesian wedding ceremonies ranging from those of middle class to the upper echelon, (mayors and sultans) (See our clip covering the Wedding of the son of the Sultan of Ternate.) We toured the Sultan's Palace, visited the traditional market, the modern mall, saw fabrication of Ternate batik craft and food stuffs, saw churches and mosques, and were invited to see and have lunch at a very nice Homestay up in the heights overlooking the city and the sea.
We would like to thank Mr.Samin Hamudu for making it possible for us to film so many weddings, and their traditions, and also for being tour guide for many of the things we saw here. Thanks also to his colleague and Co-Director of the English Training Center, Mr. Rusdi Karim for organizing other tours with student guides. Also thanks to Sultan Hi. Mudafar Syah, the Mayor of Tidore, Ahmad Mahifa, the L-PIA English School, the Ternate Catholic Church, Dewi Lestari Homestay, and to all the Wedding Couples and their families for making us feel so welcome. MT. GAMALAMA 1715 MDPL (Ternate, Maluku Utara)
Gunung Gamalama adalah sebuah gunung stratovolcano kerucut yang merupakan keseluruhan Pulau Ternate, Kepulauan Maluku, Indonesia. Yang memiliki ketinggian 1715 MDPL.
Nama Gunung Gamalama diambil dari kata Kie Gam Lamo (Negeri Yang Besara).
Gunung Gamalama ditutupi Hutan Montane pada ketinggian 1.200 - 1.500 m dan Hutan Ericaceous pada ketinggian di atas 1.500 m.
Berikut estimasi pendakian yang saya lakukan melalui desa moya :
- Pos 1 ke Pos 2, mencapai 1,5 jam dengan jarak 1,5 Km.
- Pos 2 ke Pos 3, yang berada di ketinggian 1.358 mdpl butuh waktu 1 jam dengan jarak 1 Km.
- Perjalanan dari pos 3 menuju Pos 4 yang berjarak 500 m, ditempuh 30 menit, sama halnya dengan perjalanan dari Pos 4 menuju Pos 5.
- Di dekat Pos 5 terdapat Pintu Suba dan pendaki wajib melantunkan Adzan dan menghadap ke arah kiblat.
- Pintu Suba.
Pos 5 menuju Puncak, harus ditempuh selama 1 jam dengan jarak kurang lebih 1,6 Km.

Sulamadaha Beach, Ternate Indonesia | Pantai Sulamadaha, Ternate Indonesia
Sulamadaha Beach attractions. Ternate, is a city that is under the foot of Mount Gamalama located in North Maluku province.
Located in the village of Sulamadaha District of Ternate island which is about 14km from the center of Ternate city can use private vehicles or public transportation. After reaching the parking lot, still have to walk again about 10 minutes to reach this beach. But do not worry, in 10 minutes is not going to lose, because it would be accompanied by the stunning scenery and rarely encountered in other places. Exotic pristine beaches is also nicknamed as beach glass, because the sea water here is very clear as glass.
Wisata Pantai Sulamadaha. Ternate, adalah seuah kota yang berada di bawah kaki gunung gamalama yang berada di Provinsi Maluku Utara.
Terletak di Desa Sulamadaha Kecamatan Pulau ternate yang berjarak sekitar 14km dari pusat kota Ternate ini dapat menggunakan kendaraan pribadi maupun angkot. Setelah sampai di parkiran, masih harus jalan kaki lagi sekitar 10 menit untuk sampai di pantai ini. Tapi tenang saja, dalam 10 menit tidak bakal rugi, karena bakal di temani dengan pemandangan yang mempesona dan jarang di temui di tempat-tempat lain. Pantai eksotis yang masih alami ini juga di juluki sebagai Pantai Kaca, karena air laut disini sangat jernih seperti kaca.
