South Lantau Loop – beaches, a dam & a long mountain bike ride
Starting at the Chi Ma Wan ferry pier this ride begins with a windy road through small villages and up onto the south Lantau road. Following the coast you will cycle along Hong Kong's longest beach and then up into the hills to the spectacular Shek Pik reservoir. From there you join section 10 of the Lantau trail which has been adapted into a mountain bike trail. The relatively flat concrete path follows the contours of the mountains all the way back to Pui O where you can return to the Chi Ma Wan ferry or choose to tackle Nam Shan mountain for a more direct route back to Mui Wo.
First bike ride in HONG KONG city! up Victoria Peak! - #cycling Hong Kong
I got called out of my stand-by duty for a trip to Hong Kong.
With less than 24h notice I still managed to find a really good bike shop in SoHo district thanks to quick replies from the local Rapha riders. I went to Velo6 to get a rental bike and raced up Victoria Peak to get the most amazing view you can think of looking over Hong Kong Island and Kowloon!

Nam Sang Wai – an easy day biking the wetlands
Biking Nam Sang Wai the last in the series of Hong Kong's five best bike rides. This short flat loop is perfect for a family day out, with plenty of places to explore amongst the myriad of paths that cross the wetlands. It's also a great place to take to spot wild birds on the rivers and ponds.
THE FORGOTTEN SHREDIT | Mountain Biking the Landslide Trail, Hong Kong
Better late than never^, we hit the Landslide Trail, a tech-filled descent in the shadow of Tai Mo Shan. Would our Singaporean crew survive the gnar... to catch our flight back to Singapore that same evening?

-- [^Message from the creator: It's been a tough few months behind-the-scenes and in my personal life for me recently, and one of the first things that went out the window was a steady video upload schedule.
I'm glad to say that I'm making my way back to what I love (making videos) gradually, and one of the best bunch of clips I had yet to make into a watchable edit (till now) were those from our last day of riding in Hong Kong back in December. Hope you enjoy!] --

Hairy Bikers - Hong Kong Pt 1
In their most adventurous road trip yet, the Hairy Bikers tour the birthplaces of favourite Asian cuisines.
In their most adventurous, far-flung road trip yet, the Hairy Bikers are touring the birthplaces of our favourite Asian cuisines -- the food we Brits know from our local takeaways and high street restaurants.
As they travel, the Bikers are immersed in the lives of the colourful characters they meet in Asia's diverse cultures. With incredible access to hidden worlds -- from a sumo wrestling stable in Japan to a hill tribe in remote Northern Thailand -- the Bikers will uncover the food secrets of these countries and get under the skin of the local way of life.
They'll live, cook, eat and party with the locals -- from Tuk Tuk drivers in Bangkok to monks in Kyoto.
Throughout the series, the Hairy Bikers will taste their way through the incredible flavours and ingredients each place has to offer -- finding authentic versions of the dishes we know and love back home, as well as discovering exciting new dishes we don't -- yet!
They'll be demonstrating mouth-watering, local recipes in their own, inimitable style -- dishes we'll want to cook at home.
And they'll bike through some of the most spectacular scenery and cityscapes that Asia has to offer, from the world-famous biking roads in the jungles of North Thailand, to Hong Kong's jaw-dropping skyline.

ENTER THE TIN MAN | Mountain Biking Tai Lam, Hong Kong
Continuing on from Tai Mo Shan, we rally the Tin Man descent, a trail project headed by HM and the Hong Kong Mountain Bike Association (HKMBA) work parties. Even as the day grows shorter, the stoke levels remain high as we drop further down to Tai Lam Reservoir for the ride back to Gold Coast (where we grab the first of our two dinners!).

Lantau Peak – a mountain with a 360 degree view
Episode 2 Hong Kong's Five Best Walks
There’s an easy and a hard way to ascend Hong Kong’s second tallest peak. I opted for the cable car that gets you half way. After a quick stop in Ngong Ping to see the Big Buddha statue, it’s a steep two-hour climb up for lunch at the top of the mountain. Allow time to take in the panoramic sweeping coastal views. There are paths in every direction for the walk home. A long path through to Mui Wo, a southern route past the Shek Pik reservoir to Tung Wan or a shortcut back to Tung Chung. With the cable car not starting before 10AM you will need to be fast to take the longer routes.
Start at the cable car from Tung Chung to Ngong Ping. Walk through the village past the Big Buddha and onto the wisdom path until you see signs for the peak. From there continue along the Lantau trail until you reach Tung Chung road where you can get a bus back to Tung Chung.

Asia Pacific's unicycle elite compete in HK
Around 60 competitors from five nations competed in the second Asia Pacific Unicycle Championships which were hosted by Hong Kong.
Competition was fierce on the first day of the championships, where the region's top unicycle hockey players battled for regional supremacy. Australia eventually came out on top, defeating Korea in a close final.
The second day of the event allowed riders to show off their speed, skills and balance on the unicycle, with events in a more laid-back track and field format. In this video, watch unicyclists demonstrate their talents in the sprint, the high-jump and unicycle sumo.
