Lani has hit the mainland of Lombok and in this video joins surfing lessons at Selong Belanak, the hidden paradise! All four of them jump on board and try their hand at balancing on the waves. Marc, having surfed before, quickly remembers the steps and the others follow behind.
Lani is a DJ and the vocalist of Icons, a Jakarta based event band. They have played all over Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand and even as far Australia.

One of activity you can do in Lombok. MUST visit Selong Belanak Beach where you can go surfing, sunbathing and enjoy the white beach.There are a lot of estaurant over there so you don't have to worry about your lunch.
I suggest to go in the morning 'cause the wind become too rough in the evening. Its not suitable for beginner unless you're pro or expert. Besides, big waves are
dangerous.
Selong Belanak is nearby Kuta,Lombok.Kuta is a coastal town in the south of the island of Lombok, Indonesia. The scenery is spectacular, with cliffs and mountains reaching the coast to create jagged and awe- inspiring landscapes and views. The beaches are some of the best in Indonesia, so fresh with pristine white sand, and transparent blue-greens in the water. Kuta has some of the best surfing in the world, so naturally many visitors are surfers to come here.
IDR75,000 to rent the board, and IDR200,000 board rental with instructor. An instructor will surf with you in 2 hours. Its more than enough to learn how to surf. Its easy and fun. Anyway enjoy the video and don't forget to give thumbs up.

Selong Belanak Beach can be said as one of the most prestigious beaches on Lombok tourism, especially when we are talking about the beauty and cleanliness of the beach. One of the best things about this beach is the shape of the shore that looks like a crescent. The beach is having a curvy shape with hills on each point. This beach is the part of Selong Belanak Bay that faces Indian Ocean. The length of the coastline is not less than 1 km. About a quarter part of the south side of the beach is used by local people as village. There are about 40 families who work as fishermen there. Of course, the area is not recommended for swimming because there are so many fishing boats rest there. If you want to do water sport, it is recommended to do the activities from the central to the north side of the beach. The area is free from local people’s activities. Local and international tourists are able to use the area for beach and water activities. Selong Belanak Beach has the glittering soft white sand and sloping contour. The wave is not so high and the water is perfectly clean.
