DANIEL QUINTERO
Nació en Málaga en 1949, y pasó su infancia entre esta ciudad y Melilla. Actualmente está considerado un gran retratista de la alta sociedad, también don de destacar algunos paisajes y bodegones.
La producción artística de Daniel Quintero se ha inscrito dentro de la escuela del realismo. Sin embargo, sus últimas exposiciones en la Galería Marlborough de Madrid (1999 y 2001) “evidencian una evolución hacia una pintura menos sujeta que posibilita una nueva forma de hacer”.
A los 10 años se trasladó a Madrid con su familia. En 1965, ingresó en la academia Roca donde recibió clases de pintura de Amadeo Roca. Continuó su formación, en 1967, en la Escuela Superior de Bellas Artes de San Fernando y en el Círculo de Bellas Artes de Madrid. Dos años más tarde firmó contrato con la Galería Juana Mordó de Madrid; y en 1975 con la Galería Malborough Fine Art de Londres.
En 1976 residió entre Cornwall y Londres, hasta que en 1978 se trasladó a Dublín. A España regresó al año siguiente, donde desde entonces reside y trabaja. De igual forma, desde 2001 alterna su trabajo entre Madrid y New York.
En 1970 realizó su primera exposición colectiva en la Exposición Nacional de Bellas Artes, Concursos Nacionales (ambas de Madrid) y en la Exposición Arte Contemporáneo de la Galería Arteta.
Su obra forma parte de colecciones públicas en España: Museo Municipal de Madrid, Museo Sefardí, Sinagoga del Tránsito (Toledo), Museo de Arte Contemporáneo (Cáceres), Colección March Art Espanyol Contemporani (Palma de Mallorca), Colección Masaveu (Madrid), Galería Retratos E.R.C.R.O.S., Museo de Arte Contemporáneo (Ciudad Real), Colección C.A.I. (Zaragoza), Banco Guipuzcuano (San Sebastián), Círculo de Bellas Artes de Madrid, Consejo Superior de Deportes (Madrid), Presidencia de Gobierno, Palacio de la Moncloa, Palacio de la Zarzuela (Madrid), Ayuntamiento de Oviedo, Fundación Teatro Lírico, Teatro Real (Madrid), Universidades de Málaga y de Navarra; Ministerios de Justicia, Hacienda, Asuntos Exteriores, Interior, Ciencia y Tecnología.
En Estados Unidos: Fogg Art Museum (Cambridge, Massachusetts), Achenbach Foundation for Graphic Arts at the Fine Art Museum (San Francisco) y Saint Louis University (Boston).

There are two operators of Hop On Hop Off (Ho Ho) Sightseeing Buses in Barcelona.
The Barcelona Bus Turistic calls itself the official sightseeing tour of the city. It is operated by Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB), who also operate the metro, bus and streetcar network.
The Red route travels from Plaça Catalunya to the Parc de la Ciutadella, passing through Passeig de Gràcia, Diagonal, Estació de Sants, Montjuïc and Port Vell. Some of the attractions viewed on this route include Gaudi's Casa Batllo, Casa Mila (La Pedrera), Plaça Espanya, the MNAC (Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya), the Olímpic Stadium, the Fundacio Joan Miro, the gardens of Montjuïc, the Monument to Christopher Columbus, the waterfront Port Vell area and Port Olímpic.
The Blue route travels from Plaça Catalunya to the MACBA (Museu d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona), passing through Passeig de Gràcia, the Sagrada Família, Gràcia, Park Güell, Mount Tibidabo, Pedralbes and Camp Nou (FC Barcelona stadium).
The Green route is seasonal and only operates from April to November. For exact dates, consult the Barcelona Bus Turistic website. The Green route travels from Port Olímpic to Poblenou passing through the Fòrum and enjoying the best views of the city’s beaches.
Tickets can be purchased on the bus, at the Barcelona Offices of Tourism or online through either the Bus Turistic ticket page or BcnShop, the online shop of the official website of Barcelona Turisme, here By purchasing online, you will receive by email a printable voucher. Exchange the voucher on the bus or at the Tourism office.
The Barcelona City Tour is operated by Julia Tours and Grupo Moventis, a large Spanish transportation company.
The East Route travels from Plaça Catalunya to Torre Agbar, passing through Barri Gotic, Port Vell, Barceloneta beach, Port Olímpic, several city beach areas, the Sagrada Familia, the Hospital de Santa Creu, Park Güell, Mount Tibidabo and Passeig de Gràcia. In the winter months, the route is shortened. For more information on the East Route.
The West Route travels from Placa Catalunya to Passeig de Gràcia, passing through Barri Gotic, the waterfront near the Monument to Christopher Columbus, Montjuïc (the MNAC, the Olímpic Stadium, the Fundacio Joan Miro and the gardens of Montjuïc), the FC Barcelona stadium and Avinguda Diagonal.
