The Museum at Prairiefire was established in 2010, partnering with the American Museum of Natural History. Focused on enhancing public understanding of natural history and science, MAP presents an ongoing flow of world-class traveling exhibitions organized by the American Museum of Natural History.
Their current exhibit Dinosaurs: Ancient Fossils, New Discoveries explores how paleontologists today are using an incredible array of new technologies, discoveries and ideas to investigate and reinterpret many of the most persistent and puzzling mysteries of dinosaurs. This exhibit will run through July 12, 2015

Museum of World Treasures in Wichita KS [Explore Kansas]
Museum of World Treasures in Wichita - Kansa is a world history museum. Many items on display such as Daspletosaurus, Tyrannosaurus and Tylosaurus specimens, signatures of all United States presidents, Egyptian mummies, the Scarecrow's pitchfork from The Wizard of Oz (1939), a section of the Berlin Wall, and the scalp of Henry Armstrong Reed (George A Custer's nephew).

MC Travelers made a quick stop at the Museum at Prairiefire in Overland Park, Kansas. We didn't really go inside...only to use the restrooms. Instead we took in the colorful architecture of the building. Made from dichroic glass and reflective stainless steel, this building takes a life of its own! It really shines, as it changes color as you walk around and is effected by the changing light of the day. Come see it if you love museums, architecture, or if your just a color fanatic. You won't be disappointed!

Austin spends the afternoon at the Museum at Prairiefire in Overland Park, Kansas. He gets to make his own dinosaur that chases him around. He gets hands-on in the discovery room wearing mask, being a paleontologist and checking out real and replicas of animals. He then learns about the brain at their current special expedition.
