Museum of the African Art Belgrade Serbia
This was the short walk through Senjak area of Belgrade with the visit of the Museum of the Africa Art and the lecture about the death rituals in the Western Africa.
I found out some very interesting details like that we have this statue which is still alive and emanates strong shamanistic energy. And that several of the magic masks there were covered with blood when they entered into Museum.
Great stories I have heard during this lecture, but it was in Serbian, so there wasn't a point of recording it. Sorry.

DURBAR DAY - Museum of African Art, Belgrade, 12.06.2011.- African and Serbian Musicians - Part 1
The most important day of the Afro Festival is Durbar Day: the Festival of Festivals, a day of friendship, music and dance. With the participation of the African embassies in Belgrade, located in the pleasant exterior -- the MAA garden - this day celebrates African music, dance, art and culture. Visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy the richness of African creativity: kente from Ghana, Kasai velvet from the Congo, djelaba and kaftan from North Africa, unique ceramics and glass-works from Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia, multicoloured arabesques from Egypt, indigo cloth from Guinea, printed textiles from Angola. With the kind support of the African diplomatic community in Belgrade, visitors will be able to enjoy the culinary specialties from different parts of Africa. Specially arranged booths with art objects, crafts and souvenirs (textiles, jewellery, miniature wood sculpture) contribute to the spirit of the Festival, creating an unforgettable experience of the cultural treasures of Africa.

Tour the Belgrade Museum of Aviation in Serbia
Belgrade’s Museum of Aviation, which used to be known as the Yugoslav Aeronautical Museum, is located in Surcin, Belgrade, next to Belgrade’s Nikola Tesla Airport. It contains one of the most unique collection of aircraft and fighter jets in the world, including aircraft made and owned by the Soviet Union/Russia, USA, Germany, Yugoslavia, as well as jets and prop driven planes from Canada, the U.K. and France.
Also included in the collection is the canopy and various pieces of wreckage from an F-117 Stealth Fighter shot down near the village of Budanovci, Serbia on March 27, 1999, as well as pieces of an American F-16 Fighting Falcon that was also shot down, as well as a badly damaged MQ-1 Predator drone, a unique Lockheed T-33, a MiG-21 and more unique fighter jets, fighting warbirds from World War II and before.

Ethnographic Museum Belgrade - Explore the World
You will find traditional costumes, working utensils, history of some key families from this area and typical village interiors. Very interesting place.
There is a park outside the museum where you can sit on a bench, watch city dwellers and enjoy in the heart of the city. Main city street of Knez Mihajlova is just few minutes away.

The Tesla museum is not far from our apartment. The few blocks make an interesting walk as we pass a number of Embassies and hostels, sharing the neighborhood, which we think is sort of odd.
At the museum, there's a tour going on, and people are waiting for it to finish before they can get their entry tickets. The rooms are arranged in a circle around a center stairway, all open, with no waiting room. We walk around the exhibits while we wait for the tour. The guide is an aggressive, loud young man who takes his job very seriously. He stops the tour to come right over to tell some people to please Keep Quiet He Is Giving A TOUR! We can actually see and hear the whole thing. He fires up a giant Tesla core in the middle of the room, sending sparks out and lighting up fluorescent lights. No saber fighting, please, they are not so durable! Ha ha. The exhibit has some models and documents, and a lot of photos and papers from Tesla's death and funeral, and the story of shipping his belongings back to Yugoslavia.
When the tour is finally over, we ask if there are more exhibits, and when the next tour is. We find out that the next tour is in Serbian, and the first floor is the whole museum. Well, since we've seen and heard most of it, we consider this museum done.
Back on the Knez Mihailova, we pass a fancy building with a sign for the Zepter Museum, so we take a look. We can't tell what the original use of the building was, perhaps offices, but it's fairly opulent, lots of marble columns and carved doorways. Now, it's housing a Contemporary Art collection. It's all very interesting work, primarily regional artists. We spend an hour or so enjoying the exhibition.
