Santa Monica is a beachfront city in western Los Angeles County, California, United States. Situated on Santa Monica Bay, it is bordered on three sides by the city of Los Angeles – Pacific Palisades to the north, Brentwood on the northeast, Sawtelle on the east, Mar Vista on the southeast, and Venice on the south.
Due in part to an agreeable climate, Santa Monica became a famed resort town by the early 20th century. The city has experienced a boom since the late 1980s through the revitalization of its downtown core, significant job growth and increased tourism. The Santa Monica Pier remains a popular destination.

Santa Monica Airport: Tribute to a Besieged Icon
A sunny, windy Sunday at historic Santa Monica Airport -- starting point for the first round-the-world flight in 1924, birthplace of the Douglas DC-3 and site of the Douglas plant that built thousands of World War II planes and postwar prop airliners. Now under sustained attack from neighbors complaining of noise and alleged danger from private jets, the conveniently located general aviation field remains popular with pilots and spectators. The Museum of Flying is to reopen there. The FAA defends the airport, but can it survive?

If you asked yourself, which street in America has most money packed in it, this would be it.
It's an unusual concept for a Los Angeles, California travel tour, but it's definitely a fun fact: if you added value of all businesses that are located on Wilshire Boulevard and put it against any other American Street, including Fifth Avenue in New York, it will leave all those streets behind and chocking in dust.
This video is taking you to the ocean using the nice wide street with a lot of fancy fashion stores, banks, legal firms, hotels, residential buildings, entertainment industry, venture capital, and other headquarters. It's Wilshire Blvd.
American singer Lana Del Rey mentions Wilshire Boulevard in the song Honeymoon on her 2015 album of the same name, as well as American Rapper Nipsey Hussle, in the song Dreamin' on his fifth mixtape titled The Marathon.
The 1997 film Volcano features the boulevard being destroyed by volcanic lava. On March 9, 1997, American East Coastrapper The Notorious B.I.G. was seated in the front passenger seat of an SUV, which came to a stop at the red light at the intersection of Wilshire and Fairfax.
Another vehicle pulled up next to them, and the driver drew out a pistol and shot B.I.G. four times in a drive-by shooting, killing him.
Running 15.83 miles (25.48 km) from Grand Avenue in Downtown Los Angeles to Ocean Avenue in the City of Santa Monica, Wilshire Boulevard is densely developed throughout most of its span, connecting five of Los Angeles's major business districts to each other, as well as Beverly Hills.
Many of the post-1956 skyscrapers in Los Angeles are located along Wilshire; for example, One Wilshire, built in 1966 at the junction of Wilshire and Grand, is said to be ...the main hub of the internet for the entire Pacific Rim due to the large concentration of telecommunications companies renting space there.
Aon Center, at one point Los Angeles' largest (and presently second-largest) tower, is at 707 Wilshire Boulevard in downtown Los Angeles.
The Wilshire Boulevard home of J. Paul Getty was used as the filmset for the 1950 film Sunset Boulevard: it was demolished in 1957.
One particularly famous stretch of the boulevard between Fairfax and Highland Avenues is known as the Miracle Mile
Many of Los Angeles' largest museums are located there. The area just to the east of that, between Highland Avenue and Wilton Place, is referred to as the Park Mile.
Between Westwood and Holmby Hills, several tall glitzy condominium buildings overlook this part of Wilshire, giving it the title of Millionaire's Mile. This section is also known as the Wilshire Corridor and Condo Canyon.
The Wilshire Corridor, located next to Century City, is one of Los Angeles' busiest districts, and contains many high-rise residential towers. The Fox and MGM studios are located in a series of skyscrapers, along with many historic Los Angeles hotels.
Wilshire Blvd is also the principal street of Los Angeles Koreatown, the site of many of Los Angeles' oldest buildings, as well as skyscrapers. Koreatown and Mid Wilshire are among Los Angeles's densest districts

American Military Museum in South El Monte California World War II and Vietnam equipment
This is a cool museum across the street from Whittier Narrows Recreational Park at Rosmead just before Rush St. I think that this is a really nice museum to go to for Veterans and History nerds who are into military equipment of the World War 2 era, and the Vietnam era. Take a Veteran and have them share with you their experience with these Sherman Tanks, Choppers, Jeeps, Ambulances, missiles, Boats etc...The price is $5 per adult, $3 for Juniors 12-17, Free for under $5, and I believe it was $1 for kids 5-11 years old as of October 2017. If you read this in the future, the price may have gone up. I have been passing this museum everyday when I would take my son to the batting cages and I kept telling myself that I needed to stop by and check it out until I finally did. It was worth the price of admission. Enjoy this video and please share your own personal or family member's history regarding the war. Also leave a comment and feel free to share. Places to see in ( Los Angeles - USA )
Places to see in ( Los Angeles - USA )
Los Angeles is a sprawling Southern California city and the center of the nation’s film and television industry. Near its iconic Hollywood sign, studios such as Paramount Pictures, Universal and Warner Brothers offer behind-the-scenes tours. On Hollywood Boulevard, TCL Chinese Theatre displays celebrities’ hand- and footprints, the Walk of Fame honors thousands of luminaries and vendors sell maps to stars’ homes.
Nowadays, the economy of Southern California is primarily driven by its other sectors: its huge oil refineries, its thousands of rather mundane factories and food processing facilities, and its busy seaports and airports, with the result that the U.S. Customs district covering the region is the busiest in the United States. Regardless, Los Angeles continues to attract millions of tourists each year drawn to its history as the place where motion pictures traditionally came from (and where the management of the six major film studios are still largely based, even though they don't make most films there any more).
Furthermore, at least in the English-speaking world, it is still obligatory for most celebrities-to-be to live for several years in L.A. until they make it big in Hollywood. Most of them ultimately flee elsewhere after they get sick and tired of being chased by crazed fans, tourists, and paparazzi, and only after they've hooked up with the top talent agents in Hollywood (meaning that now the best scripts and songs come to them, rather than the other way around). Thus, L.A. is notorious for its celebrity-oriented culture, as exemplified by the star maps sold at tourist traps which feature known locations of celebrities' homes.
Hollywood, Universal City (specifically Universal Studios), and Venice Beach as their top priorities within the City of Los Angeles itself. Century City, Downtown Los Angeles, UCLA, USC, Griffith Park and the Los Angeles River bridges just east of downtown are all also worth a look. They have all been used for filming a huge number of famous movies, television shows, and television commercials, and will seem slightly familiar for that reason.
However, many other landmarks generally associated with L.A. are technically not located in the City of Los Angeles, but are in adjacent cities or unincorporated areas. For example, Rodeo Drive is found in Beverly Hills; the Santa Monica Pier, the Third Street Promenade, and Santa Monica Beach are in Santa Monica; studio facilities for NBC, Disney, and Warner Bros. are all found in Burbank; the Sony Pictures Entertainment studio is in Culver City; and Marina del Rey is an unincorporated area under county jurisdiction. Malibu is about half an hour's drive west of Santa Monica. Disneyland, Newport Beach, and South Coast Plaza are all located over an hour's drive to the southeast in Orange County.

Come with me, let's have a walk through Old Pasadena. Lots of memories are attached to this town.
Enjoy ...
