First and Biggest McDonalds in Russia at Pushkin's Square, Moscow. Real Russia ep.32
Our channel is still independent because of your support. So it's very important you to continue contribute our channel -
It's interesting but first McDonalds in Russia was opened one year before USSR collapsed but still in Soviet era. It was opened not far from the Square named for one of the most famous and greatest Russian writers and poets, Alexander Pushkin. When it was opened, it was the biggest McDonalds in the World! and still the biggest in Europe and Russia.
In 15th episode of Real Russia we have visited a local McDonalds in our hometown Ufa, Russia and in the end presented an exclusive video filmed in 1990 years about many miles line in queque to the first McDonalds at Pushkin's Square in Russia.
When in the beginning of this month we was travelling to Moscow for an interview to RT channel, we had a little less than 200 usd in our pockets and for the reason of very limited budget ate mostly in McDonalds. Because just where yet you can get 800kcal for $5?
So and once we ate mostly in McDonalds we never missed the chance to visit that definitely legendary McD restraunt. :)
Sorry for a little shaky camera work inside of restraunt, but Sergey Pichugin held the camera the way it looked like we do not film but just walk in a photocamera in hands. We was afraid that Security will not let us to film again, same as it was in 15th episode.

Polar Bears Club. Real Russia ep.95 (4K)
At the 28th of February, 2015 we came to film the All Russia 24-hours Torch of Polar Bears of Russia dedicated to the 70-Years Anniversary of the Victory in a World War II.
More than 200 walruses (that's how we call polar bears) from 20 regions of Russia came to the city of Ufa, the capital of Bashkortostan Republic of Russia that to participate in this Torch. But besides Ufa, the Torch like this also went in many other cities of Russia.
We came just to film and show about it, but suddenly became a participants ourselves.
It was pretty amazing experience to make a 50-meters swim through the freezing cold water in a hole of the Soldier's Lake in the Park of Ivan Yakutov.
Then to warm up in a mobile bath house right inside of the truck and finally to drink a tea deep inside of Polar Bears Club of Ufa, Russia.

Crimea: A Year Under Occupation
Over a year after Russia illegally annexed the Crimean peninsula, signs of the new regime are visible. Some are benign: the ruble has replaced the hryvnia as the local currency; the majority of residents now carry Russian passports; the Russian flag hangs in the peninsula's capital, Simferopol. Other signs of Russia's takeover are more sinister: critics of the power-change are subject to unwarranted arrests; religious and ethnic minorities, such as the Crimean Tatars face persecution from local authorities; out of 2.4 million, some 20,000 people have left their homes and moved to Ukraine.
No Western countries acknowledge Russia's annexation of Crimea. However, despite reports of human rights abuses, Crimea has fallen from international attention after pro-Russian separatist movements erupted in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions along Ukraine's eastern border with Russia.
Hromadske traveled to Crimea undercover to film the situation as it is today. This documentary looks at life on the peninsula for those living under Russian rule.

After all we'll go to RT channel in Moscow.
Unfortunately, we came to RT studio a little late and hadn't possibility to film how it works from inside but we agreed with Administration of RT that next time we are welcome to make a big episode about how RT works.
We will looking forward for that because RT is a real big and professional channel with a lot of studios and interesting stuff. It's really look how the face of Russia at the international arena of the World must look like. I was amazed and impressed with the sizes and quality.
And some words about the last scene. I was thinking if I really have to place that take to this video, because here everybody knows that Moscow Do Not Believe In Tears, but finally did understand that I have to follow our fundamental rule showing everything as is and leaved it as is. It's Real Russia!
Thank you all for watching, commenting, liking, subscribing, reposting, buying our t-shirts and donations! If not you and your unstoppable interest this video would never be filmed.

Abandoned Arctic island to become base for Russian troops
PROVIDED BY HTTP://CNNNEXT.COM
A remote Arctic island, home only to a weather station and the odd polar bear, is about to become a bustling military base. That's because Russia is boosting its naval presence in the region. RT's Murad Gazdiev was among the first new arrivals.
