Muttom sports a beautiful and tidy beach. Huge rocks standing at either side of the beach give the beach a pristine look. Since the beach is usually less crowded, it makes an excellent spot for tourists to enjoy its beauty. There is also a children's park.

This beach is known as the best sun set point in the district.Muttom is one of the famous fishing villages, located 16 km from the capital town Nagercoil. It is well connected by road to the Nagercoil town. It is approximately 75 km from the Trivandrum International Airport. It is reachable from Kanyakumari by road with a distance of about 34 km. The nearest villages are Esanthangu, Ammandivillai, Pillaithoppu, Azhikal, Kadiyapattanam and Manavala Kurichi. Major roads reach Muttom via Ammandivillai, Esanthangu and Nagercoil. There is a lighthouse which was constructed by British India. The lighthouse, though near the sea, is situated 110 ft (34 m) above sea level. The structure was built when India was part of the British Empire until 1947

Muttom is a fishing village, located 16 kilometers from the capital town Nagercoil. Muttom is located at 8.13°N 77.32°E.[1] It is well connected by road to the Nagercoil town. It is approximately 75 km from the Trivandrum International Airport. It is reachable from Kanyakumari by road with a distance of about 34 km, Muttom has a lighthouse[2] due to which its presence is recorded in the international shipping chart. This is a beautiful village with a sandy beach on one side and a rocky beach on the other side. Due to this it attracts a lot of tourists throughout the year. The terrain of this village and its surroundings is hilly and from a height one can see an idyllic view of the place. One can watch both the sunrise and sunset from here. A Portuguese architecture based catholic church known as All Saints Church, stands in the middle of the village.well then, Muttom is more over a sentimental place for the cine directors. There were more than two hundred movies taken in Muttom. The best ever green movie taken in Muttom is Kadalora Kovithikal acted by Sathiya Raj, Directed by Bharathi Raja.
