One Incredible Day in Boracay

Apart from my camera falling apart after the ATV ride, this was an one incredible day in Boracay!

00:29 Breakfast - For breakfast we started off at Discovery Shores Hotel, and we ate the breakfast buffet. The breakfast was alright, but a little small, and a little crowded, but nevertheless a good way to start the day. I especially enjoyed the smoked bangus.

1:45 Walk on White Sand Beach - After breakfast we started off walking down White Sand Beach, one of the most famous main attractions of Boracay - a 3 km stretch of white sand and beautiful beach. What I like most is that you can just walk down the beach and enjoy the

2:16 Willy’s Rock - One of the most famous landmarks in Boracay is Willy’s Rock, a chunk of coral that sits near the coastline. When it’s high tide the rock is submerged in water, but when it’s low tide the rock sits in the sand. At this point I was hot and ready to take a swim as well.

2:54 Taho Beach Food - As we were swimming, Anton flagged down a vendor selling taho, soft silken tofu. It made a good beach street food.

4:33 Calamansi muffin at Real Coffee Shop - As we were walking along Station 2 beach in Boracay, we stopped off at a place called Real Coffee, for a quick cup of coffee and a calamansi muffin. The muffin tasted a lot like lemon cake, and the coffee, was too weak for me, but alright. Real coffee is known as one of the original spots in Boracay, especially famous for their calamansi muffins.

7:13 Lunch at Sands Restaurant, Discovery Shores Boracay - For lunch we returned to Discovery Shores and had an amazing lunch at their Sands restaurant. They prepared all Filipino food, all of which was extremely good. I really enjoyed the kilawin, Filipino style ceviche, the lamb shank caldereta, and the Bacolod kansi, a beef shank soup. Everything was delicious, one of the better and best quality Filipino food meals I’ve ever had.

9:22 ATV Ride to the lookout viewpoint of Boracay / Paraw sailing ride - In the afternoon, continuing on this one day in Boracay, we took an ATV tour to one of the highest points on Boracay to see the view. It was a bit expensive. Unfortunately, this is where my camera broke.

12:33 Jonah’s Milkshakes - For afternoon snack, we stopped by Jonah’s Milkshakes and had an avocado mango milkshake, which was delicious, along with a chori burger.

14: 20 Boodle Fight for Dinner - For dinner, we returned back to the hotel where I was introduced to a Filipino feast called a boodle fight. All the food was placed in the middle of the table, and we all shared our dinner together as a family - it was amazing, both the food and the company.

Disclosure: We were invited to stay at Discovery Shores Boracay, so we didn’t pay for our stay. But everything in this video, and all thoughts are my own. Huge thank you to Discovery Shores Boracay - we had an amazing stay.

BORACAY ZORB. THE GIANT BALL, BORACAY ISLAND, PHILIPPINES

ZORB is rolling down a steep hill inside a GIANT three meter plastic ball. The zorb park is located in Yapak on the way to the Bat Cave. There's also a few gallons of water inside the ball to give you an added thrill as you speed down the hill. A great way to get acquainted on a first date as you're tossed around inside!

Banded Sea Kraits at Isla Gullio, Subic PHILIPPINES

We found newly hatched Banded Sea Kraits at Isla Gullio or Parola Island, during our tour in Subic.
Disclaimer: I feel so stupid realizing the fact that these snakes are in fact venomous, Banded Sea Kraits are known to have venom ten times as strong as rattlesnakes, making them among the most potentially dangerous of all animals, and I'm taking video few inch close. Thanks Thea of Yahoo Answers for the info on the Sea Snakes.

Hong Kong Food Tour - Breakfast, Bamboo Noodles Won Ton, and Chinese Dai Pai Dong Feast!

On Day 37 of our Round The World Trip For Food, we continued the food tour of Hong Kong starting with a classic Hong Kong breakfast of lemon tea and a beef and scrambled egg sandwich. We then had some delicious bamboo pounded noodles and wonton, and then continued to have dinner at a famous dai pai dong.

00:29 Sun Hang Yuen (新香園 堅記 Thank you to Josephine for this recommendation) - For breakfast in Hong Kong we headed over to Sham Shui Po and went to a classic Hong Kong cafe and restaurant called Sun Hang Yuen (新香園 堅記). I ordered my usual hot lemon tea, a glass of black tea with a half of a lemon chopped up inside. It was wonderful. We then had a beef and scrambled egg sandwich, which was surprisingly much better than I thought it was going to be. The bread was toasted wonderfully and the beef and eggs on the inside tasted so good, fried in what I think was butter. Total price - 33 HKD ($4.25)

4:58 Sham Shui Po market - After eating breakfast we walked around the Sham Shui Po market, a local fresh wet market in Hong Kong. The market was busy and stocked with everything you could imaging that goes into Hong Kong food.

6:29 Kwan Kee Bamboo Noodle (坤記竹昇面) - There are many famous restaurants in Hong Kong that serve egg noodles and wonton, but I really wanted to find a restaurant that specialized in bamboo kneaded noodles, which is becoming harder and harder to find in Hong Kong. So finally I found a place called Kwan Kee Bamboo Noodle (坤記竹昇面), a new restaurant that uses the owner's family recipe and technique for making his noodles. I was hoping to get to see the noodles being made, but unfortunately they weren’t making them at the time we got there to eat. Nevertheless, the noodles were still made using a bamboo pole to knead the dough. The noodles were amazing, had such a fantastic texture to them, and the wontons were equally as delicious. It was a fantastic noodle eating experience in Hong Kong. Total price - 84 HKD ($10.83)

13:11 Mong Kok, Ladies Market - Mongkok is one of the most famous areas in Hong Kong for shopping, and we walked around the area for a little bit. Ladies Market is a walking street flea market where you’ll find everything from clothes to souvenirs to luggage.

16:40 Tsim Sha Tsui, Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade, Star Ferry - 2.3 HKD ($0.30) - After walking around Mongkok we took the bus over to Tsim Sha Tsui to walk around and enjoy the views of the skyline of Hong Kong.

18:26 Tung Po Restaurant at Java Road Market (Thank you to Charles for this recommendation) - For dinner, we went to Java Road Market, and to a restaurant called Tung Po, that’s a well known dai pai dong restaurant within the market. They serve a huge menu of different Cantonese and even Thai dishes. My wife and I ordered a couple of different dishes, the highlight of the meal being the razor clams stir fried in black bean sauce. In addition to the food, the ambiance of the restaurant is exactly what you want in Hong Kong. Total price - 464 HKD ($59.83)

26:00 A Symphony of Lights - Finally to end this day of food in Hong Kong we went back to Tsim Sha Tsui to see the symphony of lights show.

Family Banana Boat Ride (Boracay, Philippines) Day 3 - Roy Palaboy

Our third and final day. With a few hours left before our flight back to Manila, we continued our adventure with a banana boat ride. We brought three kids with us and they really enjoyed it.

Swimming in the Philippines ( cooling off in the province )

Just another day in paradise. some footage of a rivers in the Philippines and the people that visit them... there's so many rivers and water falls. it seems like you can find a new one every day.. its a lot of fun just getting off the beaten path and finding a nice cool stream to dip your feet in. I love hunting beaches to..i have lots of vids to come of the beaches I have visited this last year. this vid was took at two different places, one was called little bageo. the other was just a river that I found one day.

I have lived in the US all my life, but I have traveled to a few different countries. In all the country’s that I have been in I fell in love with the republic, (Philippines) the food, people and the culture not to mention the provinces and mountains. Thai land coming in second. I love to travel and see all what a new place has to offer. I love the outdoors so a lot of my videos will be about nature that includes human nature when I can get it. So come alone with me on my adventures, and my everyday life. Hope you find some of my adventures insisting to you. Some of the beast adventures are not climbing Mount Everest but just everyday life as we humans strive to be better people and co exists and survive on this planet.

Meet the LECHON DIVA of the Philippines - FILIPINO FOOD Boodle Fight!

During the Best of Bangkok Food Tour with The Hungry Tourist ( Puppup ( and Mark Wiens (myself), one of the main events was the incredible lechon and entire Filipino food boodle fight (feast) prepared by Dedet, known as the Lechon Diva.

Lechon is a Filipino delicacy, roast pig, and the golden skin will blow your taste buds with crunchiness and flavor.

Lechon Diva is legendary in the Philippines, and throughout the world for cooking one of the best versions, and a gourmet version of Filipino lechon. This is no ordinary lechon, her lechon is stuffed with truffle rice. I arrived early in order to see the process as they set the table - 4 pigs, 26 kilos of rice, and a never ending supply of crabs, oxtail, and vegetables - really an ultimate Filipino boodle fight.

The lechon was unbelievably delicious, the combination of the skin, the oozy truffle rice, and the meat.

We had an amazing time experiencing a Filipino food tradition - boodle fight - and one of the best lechon’s you’ll find in the world.
