Mystery Hill Family Fun Amusement Center in Blowing Rock North Carolina
Each year, for over 50 years, guests come from all over the world and the United States to visit Mystery Hill. They are all compelled to come for various reasons; My mother came here as a child, I remember coming here with my Grandfather, I drove by this place and just had to come and see what the mystery really was, I just can't get this place out of my mind. No matter what the reason, they come back time and time again, bringing relatives and friends to experience the mystery of our crooked house. People do remember the remarkable defiance of gravity, where you can see a ball roll uphill, and where folks are pulled from an upright position to an uncanny standing angle of nearly 45°. This strange phenomenon has been amusing and puzzling visitors to Mystery Hill for generations. Since there is a variety of things to see and do, no one leaves disappointed. Mystery is a family oriented edutainment center that offers fun for children ages 2 to 102. We welcome you to join us at any time of the year.

September-May: 9am-5pm

Group Rates
Please call for current prices and rates for groups of 12 or more. We welcome tour buses. There is plenty of Free Parking and a picnic area.
Season Passes
Your ticket serves as an all-day pass. The best deal is a season pass so you can visit us time and time again. You'll get free admission for one full year. The cost for the pass is only $50 for a family of four (2 adults & 2 children). Individual passes are available also.

What to Do in Boone Mystery Hill in Blowing Rock, NC - Native American Artifacts Museum
This is a quick look at the amazing collection of Arrowheads and artifacts found by the Mullins family. The collection is now on display at Mystery Hill's museum and available for anyone to come view and explore. If you are learning to hunt and find arrowheads this will be a great place for you to visit and get a great idea of what to look for.
What began as a labor of love for R.E. Moon Mullins and his wife, Irene, turned into a remarkable collection of over 50,000 Native American artifacts. Started on the riverbanks of Georgia, their collection combines artifacts from 23 different states. Arrowheads, pottery, pipes, and knives are only a few of the remarkable pieces within this collection. Opened at Mystery Hill in 1997, a 1,000 square foot museum was created to house the collection. Located downstairs in The Appalachian Heritage Museum, the Artifacts Museum will interest young and old alike.

The town of Blowing Rock takes its name from an unusual rock formation which juts over 1,500 feet (460 m) above the Johns River gorge. Due to the rock's shape and size, wind currents from the gorge often blow vertically, causing light objects to float upwards into the sky.
Blowing Rock is the site of Glen Burney Falls and Glen Marie Falls.
The Blowing Rock area was once fought over by the Cherokee and Catawba Native American tribes. According to legend, two lovers - one from each tribe - were walking near the rocks when the man received a notice to report to his village and go into battle. When his lover urged him to stay with her, he became so distraught that he threw himself off the blowing rock into the gorge. The woman prayed to the Great Spirit to return her lover, and the Spirit complied by sending a gust of wind which blew the man back up the cliff and landed him safely on the blowing rock itself. This story of course is fictional but it was used as a draw for the attraction. In the 1980s, a billboard in Wilkesboro for Blowing Rock showed two Indians holding hands, one standing on the rock and one floating. Today The Blowing Rock is a tourist attraction and is known for its superb views of the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains.
