DAY TRIP TO MYSTIC, CT!
My family and I took a day trip to Mystic, CT. We first went out to breakfast down there at Friendly's, then walked around Mystic village to check out some of the shops. It was a blast!

Various views of a reconstruction of a typical seafaring village of the early 19th Century called Mystic Seaport; tourists wander about.
Several old ships are moored in the harbour; one ship called the Charles W. Morgan, a three-masted whaler, is anchored in concrete in the harbour; men climb up and down the rigging; sailors hoist the sails while tourists watch.

Mystic Seaport
Mystic Seaport or Mystic Seaport: The Museum of America and the Sea, in Mystic, Connecticut, is the largest maritime museum in the world. It is notable for its collection of sailing ships and boats, and for the re-creation of the crafts and fabric of an entire 19th-century seafaring village. It consists of more than 60 original historic buildings, most of them rare commercial structures moved to the 17-acre (0.069 km2) site and meticulously restored.

It's a simply fabulous facility with attractions and displays that will delight the whole family. With skills from printmaking to shipsmithing, a team of interpreters at Mystic Seaport brings the past into the present. Visitors enjoy theatrical performances, live demonstrations, and engaging with these storytellers to connect with the 19th century.
Mystic Seaport is located one mile south of exit 90 off I-95 in Mystic, CT. Admission is $24 for adults and $15 for children ages 6-17. Museum members and children under 6 are admitted free. For more information visit mysticseaport.org
