TRAIN TRAVEL DAY! NAGASAKI TO HIROSHIMA
I head to Hiroshima today in this vlog and I show today the trek from Nagasaki to Hakata (Fukuoka) then onto Hiroshima.
Not all of this was travelled on the Shinkansen, the island of Kyushu is serviced mainly by a local express train called the Hakone line.
It’s only from north of Hakata that is serviced by numerous Shinkansen lines.
I travelled on my JR Pass that services all of Japan for a 2 week period I was there. I do believe it’s the fastest but also probably the most cost effective way to travel Japan as it does include all train travel on the JR lines including subway lines.
I had to share with you all the Japanese country side and the cities as well. It was a 4 hour trek from Nagasaki to Hiroshima but it was great to see seaside, countryside and finally getting into Hiroshima and seeing the cityside.

4K 稲佐山 長崎市 Mount Inasa, Nagasaki Kyushu JAPAN
Nagasaki 長崎市 is the capital and the largest city of Nagasaki Prefecture on the island of Kyushu in Japan. It became a centre of Portuguese and Dutch influence in the 16th through 19th centuries, and the Churches and Christian Sites in Nagasaki have been proposed for inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Part of Nagasaki was home to a major Imperial Japanese Navy base during the First Sino-Japanese War and Russo-Japanese War. Its name means long cape.
During World War II, the American atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki made Nagasaki the second and, to date, last city in the world to experience a nuclear attack.
Mount Inasa 稲佐山 is a hill to the west of Nagasaki which rises to a height of 333 metres. The summit can be reached by ropeway, bus or car and offers great views over the city. In fact, the night views from Mount Inasa are ranked among Japan's three best night views besides the views from Mount Hakodate and Mount Rokko. Spectacular views of Nagasaki's 10 Million Dollar Night View 1000万ドルの夜景.

Shinkamigoto - Blessed island in Nagasaki with a fascinating history
Shinkamigoto is a Japanese island in the East China Sea, off the western coast of Kyūshū. It is part of Nagasaki Prefecture. The island forms the northeastern half of the Goto Islands archipelago. At Shinkamigoto you will be astonished by white sand beaches and crystal clear waters, as well as by the evening sun slowly sinking into the East China Sea. In addition to this beautiful scenery, you will also find 29 beautiful churches. These churches are for consideration as UNESCO World Heritage sites and they have already been included on the tentative list. Furthermore, the island offers delicious food and abundant nature, perfect for relaxation. You can easily go there from Hakata Port, Nagasaki Port, and Sasebo Port. Feel Fukuoka's presenter Heeya went there for the first time. Check out this video of her adventure.

Japan marks 72nd Nagasaki anniversary amid mounting nuclear tensions
Amid mounting nuclear tensions between the United States and North Korea, Japan has been marking the 72 anniversary of the atomic bombing on Nagasaki.
Hundreds of people, including Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, attended commemorations in the city, the site of the last nuclear bomb attack to take place.
Here in Nagasaki, a city that continues to pray for perpetual peace, I reaffirm my commitment to realizing a peaceful world without nuclear weapons. At the same time, I give my condolences to th…
