Japan Travel - Okinawa (沖縄) Trip Day 4 Naha City (那覇市)
From Marriott hotel we took a bus back to Naha city. After checking in International Youth Hostel we went for a walk to the city center. We loved browsing the gift shops at vibrant Kokusaidori. We finished a day with a tasty dinner accompanied by live okinawan music at a local izakaya. Another memorable day!

Naha is an entrance of Okinawa and there are so many places you'll admire and you should visit such as Shurijo castle park, Kokusai street and so on.
The best way to go around Naha city without driving is traveling by monorail, which gives you a superior access to famous sightseeing spots in Naha city!

OKINAWA JAPAN VLOG | Downtown Naha 沖繩自由行 #5
SURPRISE! I know I've been gone only for 5 days but I'm sure yuh miss me already because how could you not? Just kidding! By now you should have guessed! I went on summer vacay/vacation with my family to OKINAWA, JAPAN!!! We've been to Japan 15 times at least but it is our 1st time in Okinawa/Ryukyu Islands. I'm sure yuh all heard about Okinawa being an U.S. Military Force Base. It is an island off mainland Japan so it is relatively less developed compared to Toyko/Osaka big cities like those.
Nonetheless, it is unlike any Japanese cities you will ever experience because it just has so many different cultural influences that it is sort of unique on its own. I personally see it as the Hawaii in Japan because the beaches are just as beautiful and the people and the atmosphere are exactly like what I experienced in Hawaii.
Though, the best part of this entire trip to me personally was the American Village. It was an out of the world experience to see these two (Japanese and American) completely different cultures clashes into fireworks. They are so distinct from each other, yet they marry so well together in the American Village in Okinawa. Not to mention that I spotted actual American soldiers with uniforms in the neighbourhood! Oh and also the cheap sushi/sashimi! Yum yum Japanese food!

When you come to Okinawa, lingering around in your hotel room will be the last thing on your list, so you can do well with a smaller hotel room! Extremely central just steps behind Naha City Hall, KARIYUSHI LCH IZUMIZAKI is very new at least inside, the room is like a designers home, looking very cool, being very functional and clean and new and making the best out of the tiny space that is allocated to these single rooms. The bed is at the loft upstairs and you still have shower and toilet included, a small fridge that doesn't cool too well and there is even a balcony beyond the huge window (I discovered it too late after making the video). The price was for Japan quite low at around $50 and the building has a well-stuffed LAWSON Convenience store at the basement and you can exit it with your room key.

This is an awesome place to go for walk, have fun picnic, chat with your friends or family, and relax. This park is located in Omoromachi, Naha, Okinawa. There are many of facilities around it such as shopping and more! So why dont you visit there!!!

The tropical islands of Okinawa, the southernmost prefecture of Japan, are a popular tourist destination. The capital Naha has a population of around 320 000 people, and is the most common entry point to this tropical group of islands.
This video is from Kokusai Dori, the main shopping street in downtown Naha, and a popular tourist destination.
Filmed on a hot weekday in August 2018 with a Asus Zenfone 5Z in 4K resolution, using a DJI Osmo Mobile 2 handheld gimbal.
