Napoleon escapes from Elba
On 26 February 1815, when the British and French guard ships were absent, Napoleon slipped away from Portoferraio with some 600 men and landed at Golfe-Juan near Antibes on 1 March 1815.
Marshal Ney, now one of Louis' key commanders, had said that Napoleon ought to be brought to Paris in an iron cage, but on 14 March, Ney joined Napoleon with 6,000 men. Five days later, after proceeding through the countryside promising constitutional reform and direct elections to an assembly, to the acclaim of gathered crowds the Emperor triumphantly entered the capital, whence Louis XVIII had recently fled.

Paris - Hôtel des Invalides - The Church Invalides, Napoleon's Tomb - Tomba di Napoleone

La Marseillaise is the national anthem of France since 14 July, 1795. Also, it was France's first anthem.
La Marseillaise was composed by Claude Joseph Rouget de Lisle (10 May, 1760 - 26 June, 1836). It was banned by Napoleon Bonaparte and Louis XVIII on 1815. At that time under Napoleon I's reign, Veillons au Salut de l'Empire became the unofficial anthem (First Empire 1804–1815). Under Napoleon III's reign, Partant Pour la Syrie became the unofficial Anthem (Second Empire 1852–1870).
After the July Revolution of 1830, La Marseillaise became accepted. Since its restoration in 1879, La Marseillaise has been recognized as the French national anthem ever since.
