NARITA JAPAN 2019: Head to Hatsumode | Japanese street food in Omotesando
NARITA JAPAN 2019: Head to Hatsumode | Japanese street food in Omotesando
Hello guys I am sharing with you my first experience in attending the Hatsumode tradition in Japan. As you can see many people go to Naritasan to join the Hatsumode.
Hatsumōde (初詣 hatsumōde) is the first Shinto shrine visit of the Japanese New Year. Some people visit a Buddhist temple instead. Many visit on the first, second, or third day of the year as most are off work on those days. Generally, wishes for the new year are made, new omamori (charms or amulets) are bought, and the old ones are returned to the shrine so they can be burned. There are often long lines at major shrines throughout Japan.
Most of the people in Japan are off work from December 29 until January 3 of every year. It is during this time that the house is cleaned, debts are paid, friends and family are visited and gifts are exchanged. It would be customary to spend the early morning of New Year's Day in domestic worship, followed by sake—often containing edible gold flakes—and special celebration food.

Tsukiji Round 3 & Narita Airport Adventures! (Tokyo Vlog #15)
LAST DAY IN TOKYO! I had to stop by Tsukiji Market one last time because it was just amazing and the food was to die for! Sushi Ryu is one of the best sushi restaurants I have ever eaten at and I am so sad Tsukiji is across the world from me because it's literally like my Disneyland. Also included in this vlog and Kelvin and I exploring Narita airport which has a lot of shopping and things to eat so you know I was happy about that!

Omotesando Street in Narita ᴴᴰ ● 表参道 成田
► Here's a look at Omotesando, an old lively street in Narita, lined by numerous restaurants and shops, that have been selling traditional crafts, foods and souvenirs to tourists and pilgrims for centuries.
Omotesando street has more than 150 shops, offering everything from unagi (grilled eel) sembei (rice crackers with soy, seaweed, and spices), to sake and custom made chopsticks of the highest quality.
Visiting this old street is the next best thing to timetravel, so if you happen to be in Tokyo, I strongly recommend visiting here.
Easy access to Omotesando Street from Narita Station (NOT the Narita Airport Station) by Keisei Line. - Enjoy!

NARITA TOWN / TOKYO - JAPAN
Narita is a city in Chiba prefecture, Japan, some 70 kilometers to the northeast of Tokyo
Narita town itself is very charming with lots of quaint winding old streets lined with old wooden shops. The pace of life here is dramatically different to that of nearby Tokyo and is very relaxed.

Aside from Narita Anime Deck is Narita Anime Road - an impressive 60 metre stretch of large anime murals featuring titles such as Detective Conan, Evangelion, Attack on Titan and more. They are the perfect photospots so don't forget to get a few snaps before leaving.
Narita Anime Deck itself is divided into three areas: the goods shop, eat-in restaurant, and entertainment cafe. You may think the goods shop is a small shop crammed into one corner of the airport, but it is a full-fledged store brimming with limited exclusives, and pre-release products that are available nowhere else!
The eat-in restaurant features very cute anime-themed bento lunch boxes. If you are in a hurry and just need a quick bite, this is a good place to go!

How to Get to and From Narita Airport | Narita Express
Tokyo has two airports: Haneda and Narita. There are also a few ways to get to and from the airports. On this video, I’m going we’re going to be taking the train from central Tokyo ( Shinjuku) to Narita International Airport on the Narita Express.
Narita Express is convenient if you’re staying near Shinjuku, Tokyo, Shinagawa and Yokohama Stations. If you’re staying near Ueno or Asakusa ( or anywhere on that vicinity) the Keisei Skyliner is a better and faster option.
The Keisei Skyliner
Other options include using buses, which I’ll cover in a future video. However the Japan Rail Pass can only be used on the Narita Express.
