If you are thinking about travelling to Sofia, check out our hotels here:
Sofia is the capital of Bulgaria and is located in the Western part of Bulgaria. It’s a largely modern and youthful city.
You can go to the ski resort where you can find two ski centers on Mount Vitosha to accommodate the visitors: they are called Aleko and Konyarnika.
Another highlight are the many museums you can find in Sofia, such as The Polytechnical Museum, The Museum of Anthropology and The Sports Museum.
Furthermore there are lots of restaurants, galleries and entertainment venues.
You can take a walk to Borisova Gradina. It’s the most attractive park with its statues and flower beds, you can take a breathe and relax after a long day. The Eastern end of the park is dominated by a gigantic communist monument built in 1959.
You can also go to Sofia Zoological Garden in the Southern part of the city. If you have the time, you can go to Borivoj Park which is in the center of the city and South Park which is the National Palace of Culture.
You can see the Sveta Sofia Church which is the capital’s oldest and gave the name at the city. You can see also Aleksander Nevski Church, it’s massive, awe-inspiring and Vitosha Mountain.
And finally you should visit the Parliament, the National Opera and Ballet, the National Theater and the Statue of Saint Sofia which reaches a height of 21 m.

Documentary, 30 mins
Concept, Subtitles, Edited, Directed by Dada Docot
My mother and aunt visit from Nabua, a small town 400 kilometers south of the county's capital. They come, however, not for mere leisure, but to fulfill a dream. Shot only in two days, the documentary follows the preparations of my relatives for the big day. As the documentary unfolds and as the reason for the characters' restlessness is revealed, the audience is invited to share a slice of my family's personal, and maybe, quite private, life stories.
This film is a part of an ongoing multi-media project that discusses issues on identity and space in relation to international mobility.

THE HOLOCAUST - WikiVidi Documentary
The Holocaust, also referred to as the Shoah, was a genocide during World War II in which Adolf Hitler's Nazi Germany, aided by its collaborators, systematically murdered some six million European Jews, around two-thirds of the Jewish community in Europe. From 1941 to 1945, Germany targeted European Jewry for extermination as part of a larger event that included the persecution and murder of other groups. A broader definition of the Holocaust includes the murder of the Roma and the incurably sick. A broader definition still includes ethnic Poles, other Slavic groups, Soviet citizens and prisoners of war, homosexuals, Jehovah's Witnesses, black people, and political opponents. Under the coordination of the SS, with directions from the highest leadership of the Nazi Party, killings were committed throughout German-occupied Europe, as well as within Germany itself, and across all territories controlled by the Axis powers. Germany implemented the persecution in stages. Following Hitler...
