Visiting the Tusayan Museum and walking the Tusayan Ruins trail off Desert View drive, Grand Canyon National Park. We saw Native Indian artifacts and the ruins of their living quarters. Also, I lost my breath hiking this small trail.

Grand Canyon #3/#14: Grand Canyon Village south via Tusayan Village to Valle 2016-06-02
At the end of a day-long visit to the main section of the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park, Flagstaff-based visitors leaving the visitor center of the South Rim who choose to head south will be exiting the park's toll booth on State Road 64, driving through Tusayan Village, and arriving at the junction of SR 64 and US 181 at Valle.
Thereafter, SR 64 continues south to the Route 66 theme town of Williams, Arizona just off Interstate 40, while US 180 heads southeast straight back to Flagstaff.
This video covers the drive from a parking lot near the visitor center in Grand Canyon Village to the highway junction at Valle.
At video's end, links will appear for viewers to choose the next video--south on SR 64 to Williams, or southeast on US 180 to Flagstaff.

Watchtower at Grand Canyon National Park
The watchtower is located Desert View on the South Rim. Designed and built by Mary Colter to resemble the native architecture and blend in it is actually a gift shop and view point. Cool place to stop and view the Grand Canyon before getting to the main village area or on your way out.

Mather Point, Grand Canyon
Grand Canyon on my last day there. This was Mather Point, basically right in the middle of the tourist sections of the Canyon. I am going to come back here is the fall and do the Rim to Rim hike.

Running to Grand Canyon Village and not making it back to Tusayan before dark!
I timed this one terribly wrong. I wanted to get a run on the Arizona Trail (the paved trail between Tusayan and Grand Canyon Village) and back before sunset. However, it started to get a bit too dark, and the trail was longer than I suspected. Plus it's hard to run fast at 2000m/6500ft elevation when you're not used to the altitude. No head torch meant having to call for a taxi. Oh well..
