National Motorcycle Museum - Anamosa Iowa
The National Motorcycle Museum was founded in 1989 by people who love motorcycling and it thrives today because of their sound plan. Engineers, racers, bike builders, tuners and others as far back as the late 1800′s built the groundwork for what motorcycling has become. The National Motorcycle Museum’s goal is to present their passion, and ours, through fine interpretive exhibits built around a fine collection of machines and historical objects from around the world.
With your generous support we have expanded the list of motorcycles on display from 40 to over 450. Many motorcycles are on loan from private collectors from around the world. The collection of memorabilia, antique motorcycle toys, photos and posters has also grown tremendously. If you are a collector of one or more machines, there may be room for your motorcycle in the galleries of the National Motorcycle Museum.
Our breakthrough for 2010 is the adaptive reuse of a structure on the outskirts of Anamosa over twice the size of the old downtown location. With a location just off U.S. 151, more parking and single story architecture we are better able to handle bus tours and large groups as well as create and produce exciting special events on our grounds.

The National Motorcycle Museum invites you to stop by and experience great new displays and more motorcycles than ever. Over 320 motorcycles from Ariel to Zundapp fill 10 thematic display areas. Competition machines from Hillclimb, Board Track, Land Speed Record and Drag Racing competition are surrounded by trophies, great art, photos and the memorabilia that give you the feel for racing in days gone by. Show cases hold the treasures of riders of the past; mannequins show the racing and club apparel of men and women. If you like rare machines, you'll get an eyeful in the Best of the Best gallery with machines from Curtiss, Flying Merkel, Crocker, Marsh Metz, Brough-Superior, Henderson and more.

The National Motorcycle Museum in Anamosa, Iowa is moving to a larger location on the edge of Anamosa right at the intersection of Highway 151 and 64 just east of Anamosa.
The new museum is nearly double the size of the current museum and will be able to house a replica Board Track, Hill Climb and a complete state of the art restoration facility.
Here is a sneak peak at how the construction is coming along. We hope to have a soft open of the museum during the J&P Cycles Open House June 26th and 27th 2010.

National Motorcycle Museum Virtual Visit
Not long ago we went Uraling to the National Motorcycle Museum in Anamosa, Iowa. We were given permission to video and share it with you guys. I did my best with the new Canon 80D and I think as the video progresses the panning and zooming gets smoother. I didn't play with the settings too much, could probably go back and do a much better job now, but it is an impressive place none the less.
I tried to get you a wide range of music to enjoy the awesome collection by, but if you don't like it feel free to hit mute and play your own music. You won't miss anything there is no narration for that reason.
The collection itself, just wow. Incredible collection of both owned and loaned bikes on hand. The descriptions are fairly completed, not like some other places we've been where we're trying to figure out what something is. The people are friendly too and there is reserved motorcycle parking right up in front. When we arrived there was hardly anyone there so it made for great video.

Vintage Rally June 20, 2015 - National Motorcycle Museum
The Vintage Rally is a bike show, swap meet and motorcycle history event held at the National Motorcycle Museum in Anamosa, Iowa. Over 55 vintage motorcycles competed for trophies in this year’s event. Host Mark Mederski, Special Projects Director of the National Motorcycle Museum, walks you through some of the vintage iron with insightful interviews from the bike owners. From fine choppers and customs, to American, British, Japanese and European machines, the Vintage Rally showcased a variety of motorcycles which made for an exciting event.
Also seen at the rally is a new exhibit, the Allstate Motorcycle CHOPPER STORY, presented by J&P Cycles. The exhibit features over 20 bikes, all pre-1985, along with some great information panels and original motorcycle-themed artwork. The exhibit is available for viewing at the museum through May, 2016.
Unfortunately, bike owners and attendees had their machines drenched in a sudden, unpredicted downpour coupled with high winds on Saturday afternoon. Even so, attendees weathered the storm and helped clean up afterwards, which shows that there are great people riding two wheels.

Keystone CVMG members Ross, Tim, and Neil had an active summer of riding in 2012. The gents rode down to Anamosa, Iowa to visit the hallowed ground of the National Motorcycle Museum. Fellow Keystone member John joined them at the museum for the ride back to Winnipeg, Manitoba.
This awesome collection of photos is a feast for the eyes.To see more, you'll have to either go to the museum yourself or visit nationalmcmuseum.org. Either way, time well spent.

Two Wheeled Legends - St. Francis Motorcycle Museum - Rarest Motorcycles in America
** Watch still the end to see some of the rarest motorcycles in North America** This week we headed out to Saint Francis Kansas for a Motorcycle Rally and we get an exclusive tour of the Saint Francis Motorcycle museum. The museum has several early motorcycles, Indian and Harley Davidson, are highly represented, but so are motorcycles from lesser known manufacturers such as Flanders, Excelsior, Cleveland, Pope, iver Johnson, Feilbach Limited, Ace, Henderson, Marsh-Metz and many others.
The St. Francis Motorcycle Museum is located at 110 East Washington in beautiful downtown St. Francis, Kansas. The 10,000 square foot museum houses more than 100 vintage motorcycles from various manufacturers. The big names in early motorcycles, Indian and Harley Davidson, are highly represented, but so are motorcycles from lesser known manufacturers such as Flanders, Excelsior, Cleveland, Pope, iver Johnson, Feilbach Limited, Ace, Henderson, Marsh-Metz and many others.
The first annual Tri-State Motorcyle Rally will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2017 (Labor Day weekend) in St. Francis, Kansas. Vendors are still being accepted for the rally. Camping (with & without services) will be available, but motel services are limited in St. Francis. Additional lodging is available locally within 35-45 miles.

Sanders Focuses on Health Care in Anamosa Iowa
Senator Bernie Sanders' focus on health care included eliciting from the audience statements about their current insurance situations. He responded to all and offered an estimate of the cost for insurance through his Medicare for All plan. The rally was at the National Motorcycle Museum in Anamosa, Iowa, a half-hour NE of Cedar Rapids. About 250 were in the crowd.
