Mike Mann - 2015 Glen Brand Wrestling Hall of Fame of Iowa induction speech
Mike Mann was inducted into the Glen Brand Wrestling Hall of Fame of Iowa on May 30, 2015, during a banquet at the Hilton Garden Inn in Cedar Falls, Iowa. The Glen Brand Wrestling Hall of Fame of Iowa is located inside the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum in Waterloo, Iowa.
Mann was a four-time All-American for Iowa State University, reaching the finals of the NCAA tournament at 190 pounds in 1982 and 1983. He was also a Big Eight champion in 1983 and a Midlands champion in 1981. The former Cyclone star compiled 113 wins during his collegiate career. Mann was a state wrestling champion for Marshalltown (1978) where he currently serves as the head wrestling coach.

Dan Gable, a 1966 graduate of West Waterloo High School, speaks to Wahawk wrestlers at the Dan Gable Museum during the 2011 Battle of Waterloo on December 16. Gable won a gold medal at the 1972 Olympics without surrendering a point and coached the Iowa wrestling team to 15 NCAA titles.

Wrestling teaches you how to get of your back: The Dan Gable Wrestling Museum in Waterloo, Iowa sustained heavy damage as a result of the June 2008 floods. Through FEMA Public Assistance funding and private donations the museum was able to recover, rebuild and reopen in January 2009. The museum director discusses the damage, the cleanup, the rebuild, and the funding process along with a description of the museum.
