Navarre Beach Reef SNEAK PEEK & Dolphin Encounter!
Fish, Sea Turtles, and Dolphins! Water was bit murky but we managed to capture some decent footage while visiting the Navarre Beach Marine Science Reef, including a high-speed kayak chase after a pod of dolphins. I think this is Alex's new favorite place.

Navarre Beach is the beach neighborhood of Navarre, Florida in Santa Rosa County in the U.S. state of Florida. It is on Santa Rosa Island, a barrier island in the Gulf of Mexico. The community is considered part of the Pensacola–Ferry Pass–Brent Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Immediately to its east is Navarre Beach County Park, formerly one of Florida's state parks. Immediately to its west is a portion of the Gulf Islands National Seashore, and further west is the city of Pensacola Beach. To the north, across Santa Rosa Sound and on the mainland, is the community of Navarre.
Navarre Beach experiences hurricanes, and severe damage was done by several. Erin and Opal in 1995, Hurricane Ivan in September 2004, and Hurricane Dennis in July 2005 each had significant impacts on the community. Landfalling hurricanes cause significant damage to Navarre Beach due to its position on a low-lying barrier island. Other hurricanes that affected the area were Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and Hurricane Isaac in 2012.
Much of the 1978 film Jaws 2 was filmed at Navarre Beach. Hotel scenes in the movie were filmed at the Navarre Beach Holiday Inn, a complex subsequently destroyed by Hurricane Ivan. A 161-room Spring Hill Suites hotel opened in April 2017 on the former Holiday Inn site.
A new pier was built to replace the one damaged during Hurricane Ivan. The project was completed in May 2010.
On March 26, 2006 a Beach Renourishment project got underway to restore sand lost due to the hurricanes of 2004 and 2005. This project eventually added approximately 200 feet (61 m) of sand and a 14-foot (4.3 m) high berm to the Gulf side of Santa Rosa Island for the entire length of Navarre Beach. The project was completed in December 2006. In 2016 the beach restoration resumed and has brought many nice sea shells to the surface along with other treasures.

The Moon jellyfish (Aurelia aurita) can occur in very large numbers in one place. It is a beautiful jellyfish, and most reports suggest that its sting is so mild that only very sensitive people can feel it at all. Many people can touch this jellyfish without feeling a sting except perhaps on sensitive areas of the body. Others report a mild to moderate sting that may persist for more than half an hour.

FLORIDA PANHANDLE - WikiVidi Documentary
The Florida Panhandle, an informal, unofficial term for the northwestern part of the U.S. state of Florida, is a strip of land roughly 200 miles long and 50 to 100 miles wide , lying between Alabama on the north and the west, Georgia also on the north, and the Gulf of Mexico to the south. Its eastern boundary is arbitrarily defined. The terms West Florida and Northwest Florida are today generally synonymous with the Panhandle, although historically West Florida was the name of a British colony , later a Spanish colony , both of which included modern-day Florida west of the Apalachicola River as well as portions of what are now Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana. As is the case with the other eight U.S. states that have panhandles, the geographic meaning of the term is inexact and elastic. References to the Florida Panhandle always include the ten counties west of the Apalachicola River, a natural geographic boundary, which was the historic dividing line between the British colon...
