Udaipur Neemach mata temple - Rajasthan
Neemach mata temple is built on the hill of Fateh Sagar lake, Udaipur - Rajasthan.
Udaipur is also known as the City of Lakes, is a city, a Municipal Corporation and the administrative headquarters of the Udaipur district in the state of Rajasthan in western India. It is located 403 kilometres southwest of the state capital, Jaipur, 576 km southwest of Alwar, 248 km west of Kota, and 250 km northeast from Ahmedabad. Udaipur is the historic capital of the kingdom of Mewar in the former Rajputana Agency. The Sisodia clan of Rajputs ruled the Mewar and its capital was shifted from Chittorgarh to Udaipur after founding city of Udaipur by Maharana Uday Singh. The Mewar province became part of Rajasthan after India became independent
Apart from its history, culture, and scenic locations, it is also known for its Rajput-era palaces. The Lake Palace, for instance, covers an entire island in the Pichola Lake. Many of the palaces have been converted into luxury hotels. It is often called the Venice of the East, and is also nicknamed the Lake City. Lake Pichola, Fateh Sagar Lake, Udai Sagar and Swaroop Sagar in this city are considered some of the most beautiful lakes in the state.

Neemach Mata Mandir Udaipur Rajasthan Vlogs.
Neemach Mata Temple is located on a hill on the banks of the Fateh Sagar Lake in the city of Udaipur, Rajasthan. This temple is located on a green hill in the Dewali (pronounced Dey-vaa-lee) area of Udaipur. It has both stairs and uphill slope walk way to climb, which is around 900 metres long. It enshrines the stone idol of Neemach Mata Devi. There is also an idol of Lord Ganesh and three west-facing lions of stone.
One can have very beautiful view of whole city and its lakes from the temple as well as while climbing. The walk is pollution-free as no vehicles can enter in the hill boundary.

This is Neemach Mata mandir, a place that has been our spiritual anchor for decades. In the 80s when we first began visiting this temple, the path up was uneven and unpaved save for some red stone stairs that devotees had donated to make it easier for people to visit. Going up was an effort but filled with the amazing reward of 360 views of the beautiful city of #Udaipur. After 30 years though, the temple has a concrete paved path and the statue has transformed from an “Adivasi” goddess face to a nicely sculpted more “formal hindu” face…And that is okay BUT for the loud speakers blaring “mata ke durbar” ke gaane- clearly the influence of a certain North Indian mentality of loud music that is trying to replace the more soulful drumming and temple gongs that is typically the Adivasi offering.
We love Neemach Mata temple as it is a place of deep spiritual energy and hope that we can preserve the sanctity of its Adivasi roots and spirit and keep it from turning into a commercial venue…
