How To Reach Neil Island | Beautiful Beaches in NEIL ISLAND | Chapter - 5 | Day 4,5
Hotel - Phoenix Bay Jetty - 2km
The day started with us taking a Government ferry from the Phoenix Bay Jetty for Neil Island.
Andaman - Neil Island - 36 km.
The ride was amazing as it was our first experience on the ship. We got to see an amazing view of the vast ocean with our ship slithering over the waters with finesse.
Ekdum TITANIC wala feel aa gaya.
Overall it took us around 2hrs to reach Neil Island.
This island is small but amazingly beautiful. Spread over an area of 13 km.sq., you will easily get autos/cabs to go from one beach to another. You can also hire a scooty or a bicycle to traverse on this island.
After about 1.5 hrs of room hunting, we finally decided to check in a resort that provided us with an amazing deal. Don't forget to negotiate.
Room Rent - Rs 2500 per night. ( Awesome Resort )
Mainly there are 4 beaches to be covered on this Island.
1. Bharatpur Beach - mainly famous for water activities.
2. Sitapur Beach - You can skip this place if time is limited.
3. Laxmanpur Beach 1 - Beautiful & Picturesque - Known for Sunset
4. Laxmanpur Beach 2 / Natural Bridge - Serene - ( Make sure that you visit this place when there is low tide. Enquire beforehand with the locals about this. )
Don't dare miss out on this Island when you visit Andaman. You will return home with a placid mind.

To reach Neil Island (Shaheed Dweep) one must reach to port blair first in andaman Island through India's main land, It can be by Airplane or ship journey, then book government or private ship ferry in advance either from port blair or havelock island (Swaraj dweep), Neil Island has many hotels and lodges for tourist to stay.
Bharatpur beach is best beach on neil island, located nearby jetty of neil island, majority tourist use it to pass the free time before ferry arrives (approximately 3 hrs before ferry), its nature's waiting hall before departure, many shops for shopping pearl, shells, coral jewellery, ample amount of coconut water, limited food choices, facility of public toilet and bathroom to take shower, changing rooms, luggage deposit on beach for free, ferry enquiry counter.
Water sports like jet ski, glass bottom boat, banana ride are available.
To Enjoy plenty of water go in high tides i.e. past 11am, morning low tide squeezes the water from the beach towards sea.
Low tide water let you walk towards the sea.
