Whiskey Business in Nashville, Tennessee
They don't say, Smooth like Tennessee Whiskey for nothing. Throw one back for Charlie and Andy Nelson — brothers and owners of Nelson's Greenbrier Distillery in Nashville. The pair discovered the history of their great- great-great-grandfather's prohibition-shuttered business, and are reclaiming its place in the state's rich drinking culture.

Places to see in ( Nashville - USA )
Places to see in ( Nashville - USA )
Nashville is the capital of the U.S. state of Tennessee and home to Vanderbilt University. Legendary country music venues include the Grand Ole Opry House, home of the famous “Grand Ole Opry” stage and radio show. The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum and historic Ryman Auditorium are Downtown, as is the District, featuring honky-tonks with live music and the Johnny Cash Museum, celebrating the singer's life.
For country-music fans and wannabe songwriters all over the world, a trip to Nashville is the ultimate pilgrimage. Since the 1920s the city has been attracting musicians, who have taken the country genre from the ‘hillbilly music’ of the early 20th century to the slick ‘Nashville sound’ of the 1960s to the punk-tinged alt-country of the 1990s.
Nashville's many musical attractions range from the Country Music Hall of Fame to the revered Grand Ole Opry to Jack White’s niche record label. It also has a lively university community and a blistering hot restaurant scene.
The Country Music Hall of Fame in downtown Nashville traces the history of country music while museums dedicated to Johnny Cash, George Jones and Willie Nelson delve into their personal stories. The weekly country music show the Grand Ole Opry, first broadcast on a Nashville radio station, celebrated its 90th birthday in 2015.
The music scene today is as vibrant as ever: seven days a week the neon lights and beer-perfumed air of Lower Broadway draw crowds of grinning music lovers into its rumbling honky-tonks, while just to the south the vast undulating roof of Music City Center imprints a giant guitar shape onto the skyline. The Grand Ole Opry wows guests at Opryland and Ryman Auditorium, while hordes of country music fans descend on the city for the CMA Music Festival, featuring live performances by today's biggest stars. The country-music television drama Nashville filmed in and around the city for four seasons beginning in 2011.
If you need a break from bachelorette party shenanigans or a boring convention panel, step outside for natural distractions aplenty. An ever-growing network of pedestrian and bike-friendly greenways links Nashville's city parks, which unfurl over rolling hills and lush riparian landscapes. B-Cycle bike-rental stations are conveniently placed at greenway trailheads. Nature and outdoor centers inside the larger parks offer kid-friendly activities and nature walks. In total, the city park system sprawls across more than 12,000 acres in 108 parks. Kayaking and canoeing trips on the gentle Harpeth River are well-suited to families.

SUMMARY
=======
Tennessee whiskey is straight whiskey produced in the U.S. state of Tennessee. Although it has been legally defined as a bourbon whiskey in some international trade agreements, most current producers of Tennessee whiskey disclaim references to their products as bourbon and do not label them as such on any of their bottles or advertising materials. All current Tennessee whiskey producers are required by Tennessee law to produce their whiskeys in Tennessee and – with the sole exception of Benjamin Prichard's – to use a filtering step known as the Lincoln County Process prior to aging the whiskey. Beyond the perceived marketing value of the distinction, Tennessee whiskey and bourbon have almost identical requirements, and most Tennessee whiskeys meet the criteria for bourbon.Tennessee whiskey is one of the top ten exports of Tennessee. According to the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States, as of 2013, the U.S. market for bourbon and Tennessee whiskey reached $2.4 billion, and exports of bourbon and Tennessee whiskey grew to exceed $1 billion. There are two major producers of Tennessee whiskey, Jack Daniel's based in Lynchburg (owned by the Louisville, Kentucky-based Brown-Forman) and George Dickel based in Cascade Hollow near Tullahoma (owned by the London-based Diageo), as well as numerous locally-based producers throughout the state, including Benjamin Prichard's of Kelso, Chattanooga Whiskey Company of Chattanooga, Nelson's Green Brier Distillery of Nashville, and Tennsouth of Lynnville. In June 2017, the Tennessee Distillers Guild launched the Tennessee Whiskey Trail, a 25-stop distillery tour across the state, to further promote Tennessee whiskey and local whiskey culture.

Pickup Truck Slams Into Distillery In Greenbrier Christmas Day
A pickup truck left the road in Greenbrier and slammed into the old historic distillery building. The accident occurred around 3:00PM Christmas Day on Main street near Shadowbrook Dr (exact location of wreck).
The driver (a male) fled the scene but Greenbrier police quickly found him. We are still waiting on the disposition of the driver but he was apparently uninjured in the accident.
Tennessee Whiskey Trail: George Dickel + Jack Daniel's
Traveling the 26 distilleries of the Tennessee Whiskey Trail comprises experiences from the newcomers to the veterans, like Jack Daniel's and George Dickel, who first started distilling in the 1800s.
Is George Dickel a real Tennessee Distillery?
George Dickel preferred whisky made in the winter months more than summer months because he felt it made the whisky taste smoother, so the company began advertising their Geo. A. Dickel’s Cascade Tennessee Whisky as “Mellow as Moonlight.” This is why their whisky is chilled before undergoing the charcoal-mellow filtration known as the Lincoln County Process. This extra step smooths out the flavour and we’re still the only Tennessee distillery to do it.

Things in the Nashville Area that are unique. 479-236-3588 Music Let’s
just get this one out of the way -- like flannel to Seattle, and po'
boys to New Orleans, music is almost synonymous with this town. And it’s
no longer just for the cowboys, but hit-makers of all genres. Where else
could you wait in the same Starbucks line alongside Keith Urban and
Justin Timberlake? Not only is it made here, it’s not uncommon for an
artist to record here, fall in love, and instantly hit the real estate
market. Kings of Leon, The Black Keys, Ben Folds, Jack White, and Elvis
Costello are just some of the non-country crooners that reside here.

Healthcare- Although music is what we’re known for, healthcare is the
region’s leading industry with more than 250 companies headquartered
here; six of the nation’s top 10 for-profit hospitals are located in
Nashville and it represents one in eight Nashville jobs. Interested in TN Real Estate
Tech- Business leaders and investors have been working for the past
several years in a common goal of making the city a music AND technology
destination. Companies like WorkIT Nashville are busy recruiting
talented, techy transplants, while Google is making Nashville one of
seven cities to participate in their Google for Entrepreneurs Tech Hubs
(and bringing Fiber with it). In fact, this place is filling up so fast
with keyboard talent, that it's becoming known as a tech transplant
city.Looking for Nashville Area Real Estate.
Whiskey Yes, Kentucky lays sole claim to bourbon -- but Middle Tennessee
produces some of the country’s best whiskey. Just South of Nashville,
you can tour the distilleries of the most recognizable names, Jack
Daniel's and George Dickel, but within the city limits are some fine
contenders hot on their heels like Corsair, Collier and McKeel, Nelson’s
Greenbrier Distillery, Prichard’s, Speakeasy Spirits, and many others
you can find along the Whiskey Trail.
College Nashville is commonly referred to as the Athens of the South,
and not just for having the only full-sized replica of The Parthenon in
the world, but for all the colleges and bleeding-edge learning
facilities here. There are 24 post-secondary institutions in the area
and with a central location and lower cost of living compared to cities
of comparable size -- no wonder an average of 60% of graduates choose to
remain here. Homes for Sale Near Nashville.
Urban greenways Thanks to the show Nashville and their weekly aerial
views, everyone can see how lush and green the city really is. With over
90 parks, 75 miles of greenways, and 190 miles of trails throughout
Davidson County, the campaign, Greenways for Nashville, is 90% completed
in its goal for a greenway trail within two miles of every Nashvillian.
Williamson County Real Estate.
Southern food Famously (or infamously?) beloved for our hot chicken and
meat & threes, Nashville excels in all things Southern and fried. From
hole-in-the-wall hot spots to five-star dining, there’s no dish too
casual or fancy for good ol’ Southern ingredients like okra and
black-eyed peas. After taking the Best BBQ crown from Memphis this year,
it's sealed the deal as the best destination for Southern fare.
Volunteers Tennessee is the Volunteer State, but Nashville in particular
stands out. For any local that remembers the 2010 flood, they will also
remember the immense outpouring of support in the form of assembly lines
to pile sandbag barriers to protect their city, throwing benefit
concerts, and organizing rebuilding efforts. Nashville Area Real Estate.
