NEW BRITAIN MUSEUM of AMERICAN ART
As part of a class project, I visited the New Britain art museum to find pieces I could write an essay for in Art Appreciation class. This building looks so small from the outside, but feels large from within. The security guard lifelike statue at the entrance was hilarious as many people thought he was real.

The Huntington Homestead in Scotland, Connecticut, is the birthplace of Samuel Huntington, a signer of the Declaration of Independence and a distinguished statesman during the Revolutionary War and early Republic. New Britain, Connecticut was first settled as a part of Berlin in 1680. It was incorporated as a separate town in 1850 and chartered as a city in 1871. New Britain features moderately hilly terrain that is almost entirely developed. The city's location offers easy access to both I-84 and I-91 by way of Route 72, a divided highway cutting through New Britain's center.
New Britain was once one of the busiest manufacturing centers in the country, boasting the title Hardware City of the World. Most of the old manufacturing plants have since closed, and today the city's largest employers are Stanley Works and New Britain General Hospital. New Britain is home to Central Connecticut State University, the New Britain Museum of American Art, the New Britain Rock Cats - a double-A minor league baseball team - and the Connecticut Wolves, a professional soccer team.
