THE NEW YORK PALACE BUDAPEST HOTEL REVIEW
Hi Guys, this is my hotel review of the amazing NEW YORK PALACE HOTEL BUDAPEST, one of the city's most luxurious hotels. I have received NO MONEY in order to do this review. I did it from the heart, so that the people who want to research about this hotel can easily access more information about this hotel.
The NEW YORK PALACE BUDAPEST is an unbelievable 5 star facility, located in a historic building. The hotel used to be the New York Insurance Company's Hungarian headquarters. It also boasts a great Spa as well as the NEW YORK CAFÉ the world's most beautiful café. The hotel is nothing short from AMAZING!

New York Cafe Budapest: Review & Walk-through
Dubbed as one of the most beautiful cafes in the world, New York Cafe awaits customers with its ornate interior and fine desserts.
Follow us for a walk-through and our take on the cafe!
Best cafe in Europe? New York Café for dessert in Budapest, Hungary
Come join us for a rare date as we we visit the New York Café in Budapest, Hungary for dessert as we sample cheesecake, champagne sorbet and a local beer. What initially comes to mind about the New York Cafe is just how wonderfully charming it is. When we think of some of the places around the world where we've had afternoon tea this ranks highly with the likes of the Peninsula hotel in Hong Kong or Cafe Tortoni in Buenos Aires, Argentina. This ornate cafe/restaurant has been operational since 1894 and you'll be charmed by its chandeliers, frescoes and live music while you have coffee, cake, tea and/or Hungarian cuisine.

Best cafe in Europe? New York Café for dessert in Budapest, Hungary Travel Food Video Transcript:
Hello there! It is a Tuesday afternoon here in Budapest and Sam and I have decided to go on a fancy date. On a fancy date and why not? It is a beautiful day outside. It is! And we're just having a really lovely day so let's go out for a date. Let's go get some nice dessert or something. Dessert yes. So we are going to a place called New York Cafe and this coffeehouse has been voted one of the most beautiful in the whole world. It looks really luxurious online. So I'm really excited to get there.
Yeah, it is a real institution and what it dates back to the late 1800s. Yeah, it is old. It is very old so it should have some nice charm and yeah let's have a nice date.
Quick update. We did not make a reservation. You probably should be we are next in line because it is the middle of the afternoon. Fingers crossed.
So many choices. How will he ever decide? Sweet, savory what should he choose?
Probably going with the sweet.
Okay, so Sam has not seen any photos of this place before coming here. So first impressions?
Wow, this place is so much fancier than I expected. Like this is up there with some of the fanciest kinds of cafes we've visited in the world.
And like afternoon tea we've done a few of those. Yeah, it kind of reminds me a little bit of the Peninsula Hotel in Hong Kong and it also reminds me of Cafe Tortoni in Buenos Aires.
Yeah, so I ordered a sorbet and this is strawberry sorbet and champagne sorbet with real chunks of strawberry. And some mint leaves on top and.
So I probably went for the most bizarre drink and food pairing that you could possibly have at a fancy cafe.
I'm going for a beer and cheesecake. Borsodi. Yeah, Borsodi which is a local beer and this looks like a classic kind of New York style cheesecake and I think that is a passion fruit sauce. Apricot. Oh, apricot.
Price point time. That came to 19 Euros total.
We did order some of the cheaper options on the menu like the desserts were the cheapest food items that you could order on the menu and beer was literally the cheapest drink so we did get the beer but some of the other menu items that I noticed that you could get were there were two different kinds of tea sets.
One was 40 Euros the other one was 60. I also noticed that they had a New York burger which was 14 Euros. And they had other things. They had salads. So they have a pretty extensive menu. You could even get goulash as a soup.
And so yeah if you come here there is a lot of different choices. You can come for mains, you can come for dessert and coffee like we did or you can get a great big tea set if you're willing to splurge.
So yeah, highly recommend this place. The atmosphere was really cool and this was just yeah this was a wonderful date I have to say.
So we hope you enjoyed that little food video but it was just short and sweet to kind of show you how beautiful that cafe is. It was more impressive I think than either of us were expecting. Yes, absolutely. So yeah, successful date and now I think it is siesta time.

Luxury and culture in the heart of Budapest
Contemporary New York Palace is the rethinking of the original edifice built in 1894 by the creative ideas of Maurizio Papiri.
The building has an eclectic style relying on the Italian renaissance however the most unique contemporary interior design has gained ground in the formation of inner spaces creating one of the most dignified hotels within the Boscolo Group.
The opulent splendour of the 5 star New York Palace luxury hotel can be recognized not only in forms but materials as well. All the finest marble, textiles and furnishings for the luxury Hotel come from the original home of style and design: Italy.

The Boscolo, an Autograph Collection by Marriott is absolutely breath taking. The hotel is amazing, but what makes it so spectacular is its amazing spa. I have never experienced a spa like this. It is like entering an ice cave

New York Palace Hotel -Budapest-
Io a Budapest.
Hotel New York Palace Budapest
The New York Palace is a luxury hotel on the Grand Boulevard of Budapest's Erzsébet körút part, under Erzsébet körút 9–11, in the 7th district of Budapest, Hungary.
Part of The Dedica Anthology and previously known as Boscolo Budapest from 2006 to 2017, the building was constructed in 1894 by the New York Life Insurance Company as a local head office. It was designed by architect Alajos Hauszmann, along with Flóris Korb and Kálmán Giergl. The building opened on October 23, 1894. The famous New York Café (Hungarian: New York Kávéház) the ground floor has been a longtime center for Hungarian literature and poetry. The statues and other ornaments on the facade of the building, as well as the café's 16 imposing devilish fauns, are the works of Károly Senyei.[1][2]
The building was nationalized during the communist era. The Second World War devastated great part of the Buildings of Budapest: in 1957 the Hungarian sculptors Sándor Boldogfai Farkas, Ödön Metky and János Sóváry carved replicas in the New York Café of the damaged allegorical sculptures of Thrift and Wealth, America and Hungary. After the collapse of communism, the structure was bought by the Italian Boscolo Hotels chain in February 2001. The building was totally renovated and reopened on May 5, 2006 as a 107-room luxury hotel, with the Café, also totally renovated, on its ground floor.

Streets of Budapest, Hungary
You may be wondering what I did in my free time? I took advantage of my AirBnB downtown location, exploring the surrounding areas on foot. Let me show you a few interesting places, buildings and statues.
At the intersection of Dohány Street and Erzsébet Boulevard, on a small square, you will discover the bronze fountain called Faun kut. It represents a Faun sitting in a tree, playing a lyre. Created in 1986, this stunning work by the Hungarian sculptor Laszlo Marton is a beautiful achievement.
In the summer of 2014, a bronze statue suddenly appeared in Sabadsag Square in Budapest, a few blocks from the parliament. The statue featured an angel, a male figure with his tunic open to his breast, menaced by an eagle whose talons clutched a bar just overhead. The angel represents Hungary, and the eagle the Nazis, who had entered Budapest on March 19, 1944. The statue had been commissioned and installed on the orders of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
Szabadság or Liberty Square is a mix of business and residential buildings. Some buildings on the square are designed in the Art Nouveau style. Ignác Alpár designed two of the buildings. The square houses a monument to the Soviet liberation of Hungary in World War II from Nazi German occupation. It was designed by Károly Antal.

Upon arriving, very hungry for breakfast at the cafe, we discovered that reservations well in advanced were required.
A whole district that includes, a bit of the Grand Boulevard, a major bridge, Budapest’s main square and now a new sculpture, bare the name and honor the memory of the great monarch, Empress Elizabeth.
After becoming the wife of Emperor Franz Josef, at the age of only 16. Elizabeth became a formal member of the Habsburg royal family and Queen of Hungary.
Over time, Elizabeth developed a deep affection for this country and its culture, visiting frequently as she preferred its more relaxed atmosphere to Vienna’s. She even learned the language. In return, Hungarians lovingly nicknamed her, Sisi. Her persona is forever surrounded by myth and legend. Her death in 1898 was a violent assassination. Sisi is still greatly beloved by the country that continues to honor her memory.
The Liszt Franz Academy of Music, often abbreviated as Zeneakadémia is a music university and a concert hall in Budapest, Hungary, founded on November 14, 1875. It is home to the Liszt Collection, which features several valuable books and manuscripts donated by Franz Liszt upon his death, and the AVISO studio, a collaboration between the governments of Hungary and Japan to provide sound recording equipment and training for students. The façade is dominated by a statue of Liszt, sculpted by Alajos Stróbl. The inside of the building is decorated with frescoes, Zsolnay ceramics, and several statues: among them that of Béla Bartók and Frédéric Chopin. The building is enhanced by the stained glass windows, made by Miksa Róth.
Budapest is possibly one of the most underrated European capital cities to visit. To learn more about Budapest I would love to spend more time and explore more places of this glorious city. Perhaps, that might be some other story..
