Trains in Plimmerton, New Zealand
On June 25th and July 10th 2019 I found myself in Plimmerton, New Zealand recording trains on my first trip to NZ. Most of the action was the commuter traffic between Wellington and Waikanae. There were two freight trains recorded on the 25th which are 217 and 263. July 10th only had one which was 263. Please enjoy!
Wellington Autumn Rails - (HD)
Hello! Here is another KiwiRail video from Wellington filmed between late March and Early April 2019. Here we see Freight and Passenger trains on the Hutt and Kapiti lines including; DC 4951 on Train 647, three locos on Train 260, late running Northern Explorer, DC 4951 & DFB 7213 on a special weekend Q4 shunt train and DXB 5051 on Train 262. Also sorry for the shakiness of the Q4 video I was in the car and it was a hand held shot, and DL 9037 is misspelled as 9307 at 10:07 time stamp.
Anyway, Enjoy! :)

Cape Palliser 2017
The cast iron Cape Palliser lighthouse has stood on the cliffs here since 1897 - and she's still shining strong. Climb the 253 steps to see her up close. And spare a thought for the early lighthouse keepers who had to haul oil and kerosene cans up a dirt track before the steps went in!
The Cape is also home to the North Island's largest fur seal colony. If you're here November to January you might just spot some pups. I was here April, and as you can see by the video, young teenage fur pups playing happily in their safe haven

This was the 3rd day of our trip to the Central North Island.
After staying the 2nd and final night in Taihape, we headed south to Palmerston North via Marton and Feilding. As well as the usual KiwiRail trains, we also went to the Esplanade Scenic Railway and saw F 163 running night-time excursions in Feilding.

Soldiers by J Turner Singer & Songwriter - WW1 New Zealand Photography
This song was written in commemoration of those who gave their lives in war that we may live in freedom.
Lets honor the sacrifices of men and women who have served New Zealand before and since that time.
Lets look to the past, remembering those who strove to protect our future.
Lets remember those who served on foreign battlefields, and those who stayed behind. Those who lost their lives, and those who survived.
New Zealand sent more men to fight in the First World War per head of population than any other nation.
