Walking Under the Falls! Cave of the Winds - Niagara Falls State Park, New York
Niagara Falls State Park is located in Niagara Falls, NY and is the best spot on US soil to see the falls. Niagara Falls is made up of three waterfalls, all from the Niagara River. The American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls are located on the American side. Horseshoe Falls is on the Canadian side. All three are spectacular! We purchased the Discovery Pass at the state park. This included five attractions - the Cave of the Winds, the aquarium, the movie, a trolley pass, Maid of the Mist boat ride and the Discovery Center museum. Come along with us as we experience the power of the falls and walk underneath Bridal Veil Falls at the Cave of the Winds!

Maid of the Mist Boat Ride! - Niagara Falls State Park - Niagara Falls, New York
The Discovery Pass available for purchase at Niagara Falls State Park in Niagara Falls, New York included the Maid of the Mist Boat Ride! We put on our blue ponchos and headed onto the boat. The ride takes about 20 minutes and takes you to the base of Horseshoe Falls. There are two decks. The top deck has no cover, and will definitely get more wet and windy. The bottom deck is more protected and has seating available. Both featured incredible views of the falls. The ponchos are well made and do their job protecting you from the elements, although I would recommend you wear shoes you don't mind having get a bit wet. Boats run continuously every few minutes from the dock. No prior reservations are needed, but tickets are first come, first serve. We grabbed tickets early in the morning and came back later to ride the boat. This ended up being the kids favorite experience in Niagara Falls! Don't miss it!

NIAGARA FALLS #1 -NIAGARA FALLS, NEW YORK-TRAVEL MAN DAN
#TravelManDan #Niagarafalls #wonderoftheworld #usa #justakidfromkenmore
In this episode of Travel Man Dan I have traveled one of the natural wonders of the world, Niagara Falls!
This is a two part series and in this episode I show and explore the American side of the falls, which is located in Niagara Falls, New York.
This episode was so much fun to film! Niagara Falls has always been close to me, it has always been one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Because I grew up about 15 miles away from the falls in Kenmore, I have visited there many many times, and every time I visit I am in awe at the beauty and power of this amazing waterfall.
In this episode you'll see how to start your adventure on the American side just at the entrance of the Niagara Falls state park. You'll see me slowly walk up on to the sound of the roaring rapids charging down from the last part of the Niagara river and see the epic water falling off the ridge and crashing down into the rocks below!!!!
Also in this video you will see the surrounding area of Niagara Falls, and how beautiful it looks with a winter snow on the ground and ice dangling from the railings. Winter although it can be very cold out here is also my favorite time to visit the falls because of how scenic it is. In this video you will see the Canadian side of the falls and the city skyline that is just across the bridge.
Oh yeah and another cool part of this video is you will see me navigate you through the park, along the falls and across the Rainbow bridge into Canada! Yes that is right you can walk across the bridge into Canada and see the Horseshoe falls-Although that episode will come out next week on April 10th!
So I hope you enjoy this part 1 video of Niagara Falls-The American Side! Go ahead and drop me a comment and let me know what you think!

Niagara Falls New York Points Of Interest
Niagara Falls New York Points Of Interest. Niagara Falls is a city in Niagara County, New York, United States. As of the 2010 census, the city had a total population of 50,193, down from the 55,593 recorded in the 2000 census. It is adjacent to the Niagara River, across from the city of Niagara Falls, Ontario, and named after the famed Niagara Falls which they share. The city is within the Buffalo–Niagara Falls Metropolitan Statistical Area as well as the Western New York region.
While the city was formerly occupied by Native Americans, Europeans who migrated to the Niagara Falls in the mid-17th century began to open businesses and develop infrastructure. Later in the 18th and 19th centuries, scientists and businessmen began harnessing the power of the Niagara River for electricity and the city began to attract manufacturers and other businesses that were drawn by the promise of inexpensive hydroelectric power. After the 1960s, however, the city and region witnessed an economic decline consistent with the rest of the Rust Belt as industries left the city and affluent families relocated to nearby suburbs. Globalization has played a large role in the decline of manufacturing in the city.

Niagara Falls: Best Places to Visit in New York State
Niagara Falls: Best Places to Visit in New York State.
What You Need to Know:
1. Pick a side
You can view the falls from either the Ontario or the New York side. Most visitors prefer the Canadian side, which also has a nicer selection of restaurants and hotels.
2. Exchange currency
Canada's official currency is the Canadian dollar, but U.S. dollars, as well as major credit cards, will be accepted on the either side. On the other hand, exchanging money before crossing into Canada and taking advantage of the exchange rate isn't a bad idea, depending on the fluctuating currencies.
3. Consider an activities pass
There are multiple passes that grant discounted admission to several top attractions, including the Journey Behind the Falls, Cave of the Winds and Maid of the Mist, for one price. Research your options to decide which is best for your itinerary.

Driving Downtown - Niagara Falls 4K - Canada
Driving Downtown Streets - Niagara Parkway - Niagara Falls Ontario Canada - Episode 72.
Starting Point: .
Niagara Falls is the collective name for three waterfalls that straddle the international border between Canada and the United States; more specifically, between the province of Ontario and the state of New York. They form the southern end of the Niagara Gorge.
From largest to smallest, the three waterfalls are the Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls. The Horseshoe Falls lie mostly on the Canadian side and the American Falls entirely on the American side, separated by Goat Island. The smaller Bridal Veil Falls are also on the American side, separated from the other waterfalls by Luna Island. The international boundary line was originally drawn through Horseshoe Falls in 1819, but the boundary has long been in dispute due to natural erosion and construction.
Located on the Niagara River, which drains Lake Erie into Lake Ontario, the combined falls form the highest flow rate of any waterfall in the world that has a vertical drop of more than 165 feet (50 m). Horseshoe Falls is the most powerful waterfall in North America, as measured by vertical height and flow rate.[2] The falls are 17 miles (27 km) north-northwest of Buffalo, New York, and 75 miles (121 km) south-southeast of Toronto, between the twin cities of Niagara Falls, Ontario, and Niagara Falls, New York.
Niagara Falls were formed when glaciers receded at the end of the Wisconsin glaciation (the last ice age), and water from the newly formed Great Lakes carved a path through the Niagara Escarpment en route to the Atlantic Ocean. While not exceptionally high, the Niagara Falls are very wide. More than six million cubic feet (168,000 m3) of water falls over the crest line every minute in high flow,[3] and almost four million cubic feet (110,000 m3) on average.
The Niagara Falls are renowned both for their beauty and as a valuable source of hydroelectric power. Balancing recreational, commercial, and industrial uses has been a challenge for the stewards of the falls since the 19th century.
Tourism
Peak visitor traffic occurs in the summertime, when Niagara Falls are both a daytime and evening attraction. From the Canadian side, floodlights illuminate both sides of the falls for several hours after dark (until midnight). The number of visitors in 2007 was expected to total 20 million, and by 2009 the annual rate was expected to top 28 million tourists.[74]
The oldest and best known tourist attraction at Niagara Falls is the Maid of the Mist boat cruise, named for an ancient Ongiara Indian mythical character, which has carried passengers into the rapids immediately below the falls since 1846. Cruise boats operate from boat docks on both sides of the falls.
Niagara Falls
Niagara Falls is a city in Ontario, Canada. The city is dominated by the Niagara Falls, a world-famous set of three large waterfalls on the Niagara River. The American and Horseshoe falls can be best seen from the Canadian side of the river, so the city has one of the world's major tourist attractions. The natural spectacle attracts millions of tourists yearly.
This area, which stretches along the Niagara Parkway and tourist promenade, is particularly concentrated at the brink of the falls. Apart from the river's natural attractions, it includes observation towers, high-rise hotels, souvenir shops, casinos and theatres, mostly with colourful neon billboards and advertisements, and sufficient parking to accommodate visitors. Further to the north or south, golf courses are operated alongside historic sites from the War of 1812.

Tales of the Niagara Falls video 2009 at:

In Niagara Falls State Park, the Observation Tower, at Prospect Point, juts out over Niagara Gorge for a view of all 3 waterfalls. The American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls in the USA and the Canadian “Horseshoe” Falls in Canada. The Niagara River serves as an international border between the USA & Canada. There are two distinctive cities. Niagara Falls Ontario, Canada and Niagara Falls New York, United States of America.
You can see Niagara Falls for free in both the U.S. and Canada, and you can take the Maid of the Mist (the under-the-falls boat) from both sides as well, but if you want to experience Niagara Falls from as many angles as possible from one country, then visit from the United States side.
Niagara Falls is at the international boundary between the United States of America and Canada. The city is within the Buffalo–Niagara Falls metropolitan area and is approximately 16 miles (26 km) from Buffalo, New York.
Because a waterfall such as Niagara Falls spans two different countries it's natural to ask which side is better. In this case, is the American side or Canadian side better? You've probably heard that the Canadian side is better.
The Niagara USA Discovery Pass allows you to bundle the tickets for different attractions in the Niagara Falls area in order to save money. The cost is $46 for adults and $35 for children between the ages of 6 and 12, and is available seasonally.
The Rainbow Bridge is the most direct route from Niagara Falls, New York, to Niagara Falls, Ontario. You can drive, walk or bike into Canada on this bridge, which also offers unprecedented views of the falls. Roughly five miles north is the Lewiston-Queenston bridge, which is a drive-only bridge.
You can cross the bridge by auto, on foot or bicycle. It's also a great location for viewing the Falls & Friday night fireworks. There is a $1.00 crossing fee for pedestrians and is collected when departing Canada. 2019 toll fees: $3.75 U.S. or $5.00 Canadian funds for autos (round trip).
U.S. CITIZENS RETURNING TO THE U.S. AFTER VISITING NIAGARA FALLS CANADA ARE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE A PASSPORT, PASSPORT CARD OR ENHANCED DRIVERS LICENSE AT THE IMMIGRATION CHECKPOINT. ... Please note, if you are flying from the US to Canada, you'll need a passport book, not a passport card and not one of the alternate IDs.

Niagara Falls - American Side
My first trip to the American Side - Niagara Falls by bus. A trip to remember with my dad's friends and family during May 2010.
While the Canadian side of Niagara Falls offers the best view of the American (Bridal Veil) Falls and the Canadian Horseshoe Falls, the American side offers an amazing view over the precipice of the falls and the ability to walk alongside the raging Niagara River. Spectacular hiking, boating activities, and State Parks line the New York side of the river. Read on to discover a range of activities near the falls in New York.
Niagara Falls State Park is the oldest state park in the United States. A visitor's center, discovery center, Legends of Adventure movie and observation tower are located here. The observation tower rises up over both sets of falls to give the visitor’s a birds-eye view for a nominal fee in the summer (the observation tower is free in the off-season). Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds are located within this park, as is Goat Island and a trolley to carry visitors to the various sights. The Niagara Aquarium is located in close proximity to the State Park.
