Noboribetsu 登別市 ONSEN - Hot Spring in HOKKAIDO First Time! [Hokkaido Vlog]
***Japan With Me - Episode 10 (Stream at 1080p for BETTER-QUALITY video)*** Wow, this episode is kinda special cuz this is my very first time going to the ONSEN! My cousin really recommended this. She's like When you come to Hokkaido, you have to do it as this is what they are famous for! I'm taking to your another famous area in Hokkaido, called Noboribetsu! There are a lot of natural hot spring that you can enjoy! Being at the Onsen which I had no idea on what to do. I did watch some videos about the etiquette of going to a Japanese onsen but the feelings and the atmosphere were too overwhelm to comprehend. Anyway, all you need to know is that you have to change your clothes and leave completely naked before going to the actual bathhouse. Of course you have to take your shoes off at the entrance. They would give you two sets of towel, a small one to to bring in and the big to wipe after you're finished. Before you actually use the hot spring and other facilities, you have to take a shower and clean as much as you can. Not just for your own hygiene but the others too. Mainly, I just watched and followed the other guys. I never felt so shy and literally naked in my life!!! hahaha. It was truly an adventurous experience for me. Males and females are separate but still those weird feelings. I would recommend to do more research if you go alone like I did or go with your new local friends as they are not complete strangers nor your known friends. It took us quite a while like nearly 2 hrs from where we stayed to there. By buses it costed alright. Unfortunately for the limit of the time, we decided to take taxi for the bus stop to that hot spring place. It was expensive but worth it though. That day we didn't eat anything much. Thank you very much for watching. Don't forget to check out my other food videos and travel vlog series :) Follow me on IG @tovnadavid Kpop reaction channel Have a good day!

Furano 富良野市 - LAVENDER FARM Hokkaido + Summer Rain in JAPAN [HOKKAIDO VLOG]
***Japan With Me - Episode 11 (Stream at 1080p for BETTER-QUALITY video)*** Welcome, welcome. Today I'm taking to one of the most beautiful trips I took in Japan. First thing first, the best way to go to Furano Lavender Farm and the Blue Pond is to pre-order a local tour in Sapporo. It usually costs between 6000 to 9000 yen, depends on the package. This is the best way as they will pick you up from Sapporo station in a van or bus and do a whole day tour but remember to pre-book or buy the trip several days in advance. Otherwise you can do like us by just buying the train tickets and the private tour at the Furano train station. Anyway, it was such a hard time for us as the sky was raining most of the time even though it's in Summer time still. Hahaha, Japanese summer is way different than Australian summer. We woke up really early that morning and had a huge breakfast at 7 Eleven, it was cheap and fulfilling! That train ride to Furano was smooth and easy but quite expensive as it costed us 6500 yen each for a return ticket. Initially, we planned to just catch the train and arrive at the other nearby train next to the lavender farm but due to the flood in July in Japan. We decided to buy the private tour at 4000 yen. At the Lavender farm, it was called Tomita Lavender Farm. The soft-cone ice-cream was pretty cool! Hope you enjoy it! Next episode is about the Blue pond in Biei. Thank you very much for watching. Sapporo Trip (18 Feb 2019): OTARU (小樽市)
Sapporo trip 8 days / 7 nights: during 17 - 25 February 2019
We start at 7 AM. driving a car to Otaru. Our plan today is Otaru Canal and Ishiya Chocolate Factory.
Definitely, don't miss the LeTAO. The original stone warehouses are being used as places such as restaurants serving local beer, and there are new discoveries made from just strolling around the area. Many restaurants, shop, and also seafood. Recommend to visit here!!
MyInspireProject EP4 – Hokkaido, An Unspoiled Winter Wonderland in Northern Japan
Continue our journey in Asia, we came to the winter wonderland in Hokkaido. It is the second largest, northernmost and least developed of Japan's four main islands, known for its harsh winter with lots of snowfall, below zero temperatures and frozen seas. For us, it was one of the toughest and most challenging filming and traveling experiences, but the unspoiled nature, landscape, wildlife, culture and cuisine, made this island our favorite winter destination by far.
Started from Sapporo, the capital city of Hokkaido, with a warm welcome with the backdrop of the neon light and fresh seafood dinner. We visited the prestige Hokkaido Shrine next morning and asked for prayers for our trip. Then we arrived in Yoichi to visit the iconic Yoichi Distillery of Nikka Whisky to learn about the traditional whisky making process and the love story and history behind. We also visited the Whisky Museum in the Distillery and tasted the fine and delicious Yoichi Single Malt Whisky, Super Nikka and Apple Wine. It was just perfect for the cold snowy day.
Later on, we arrived in the renowned ski town of Niseko, checking in our luxury loft at Suiboku. We our pick for our home away from home with an industrial aesthetic and best view of Mt. Yotei. Then we put on our ski gears and outfit, joined our private ski couch from Niseko wow for an adventurous and fun day on the snow mountains. Apparently we still need a lot of practices compared with other experts on the slopes!
Followed the marshmallow- like stream valley, we moved to the frozen Lake Shikaribetsu, waking up in the Traditional Japanese home with tatami floor and futon setting. We loved the pop-up ice village on the frozen lake along with the lake side resorts, makes you feel like you are in a different part of planet. Then we ordered some whisky “in” the rock to warm up ourselves and hosted our own party in the spectacular Ice Bar. Lastly, a bath in the outdoor hot spring was much need with -15c temperature.
Through the snow mountain and forest, we came to crater lake of Lake Akan during the blizzard. As the lake is frozen and covered in the heavy snow, we hided in these little colorful tents for ice-fishing. By the time our patience ran out, we went for something more exciting with the snowmobile. Then after the speedy moment, we explored the charming village and Ainu Kotan, a local indigenous tribe and its handicrafts. And we ended the night with traditional Ainu performance and dances.
In Central and East Hokkaido, we experienced the pure wilderness and the simplest Japanese village living. We spent the day with Red-crowned crane at Tsurui Ito Tancho Crane Sanctuary. The Japanese crane is known as the symbol of luck and longevity but received endangered status since 1970. Thanks to the conservation program, we could still observe their movements and behaviors up close.
At the deserted Mount Iō, a volcano that was once a sulphur mine, the bare mountain is alive with hot steam coming out from the fumarole. We could smell the strong sulphur and feel the heat and power from the earth.
Right before sunset, we stopped at Sunayu Onsen by Lake Kussharo. We were accompanied by hundreds of swans while enjoying the naturally heated sand and hot spring on the beach. It was like a scene coming out from a fairy tale.
On our last day in Hokkaido, we jumped on the cruise Aurora to chase the drift ice in Abashiri , It was the coldest day with -25c degree outside but we decided to stay on the deck to enjoy this incredible view. Everything we saw was beyond grand, pristine and breathtaking. An experience like this may be something that only happens once in your lifetime.
There was nothing else we could expect as a better ending for this trip. Finally, we surpassed the horizon and continued our journey to the next destination.
