Noojee Trestle Bridge Visual Tour (Gippsland, Victoria, Australia)
Just west of Noojee (100km’s From Melbourne) is the historic Noojee trestle bridge which was originally built in 1919 as part of a railway used to freight timber out of the district. Originally one of seven bridges of the type it is now the only one remaining due to various Bush fires over the years.
The 100 metre long bridge has been restored and is the highest example of its type in Victoria allowing visitors to walk across the entire span. A series of steps lead from the car park at the base of the bridge to the top where a walking and cycling trail has been constructed along the former railway line called the Noojee Trestle Bridge Rail Trail.

A Day trip to Noojee for the rail trail walk to the biggest wooden trestle bridge in Victoria. a Quick stop in the Pub for a light late lunch. Then, on the way home, a stop off at TARAGO resevoir. A really nice picnic area, obviously not frequented often other than by wombats

Just a few minutes drive or a pleasant walk from Noojee township you will find the picturesque Noojee trestle bridge, which is the only remaining of seven trestle bridges on the section of railway line between Nayook and Noojee. Standing at 102m long and 20m high, the Noojee trestle bridge is said to be one of the largest of its type in the Southern Hemisphere.
