The Old Mill of Guilford, NC - DISCOVERING
The Old Mill of Guilford is a fully operational, water powered, 18th century grist mill. It was founded in North Carolina in 1767 to grind grain for early settlers of what is now Guilford County.
Today, the mill is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and continues to produce all-natural, stone ground, whole grain foods, just as it has for over 240 years.
If your travels take you near Oak Ridge, North Carolina, I'm sure you will enjoy visiting the Old Mill just as much as I did.

The Town of Summerfield, North Carolina is currently working on a proposal to extend the A&Y Greenway through Summerfield. While there are many benefits to the Greenway, one of the primary benefits is connecting people to the rich heritage of the Town of Summerfield. We put this video together so that residents and trail users could learn more about the history of the Town and get excited about the upcoming trail and the opportunities it provides to visit these sites. Through these videos, we highlight numerous historical Summerfield locations on the proposed Greenway and just off the trail.
