MY SWISS ESCAPE! (The Buergenstock Selection - Visiting Lausanne&Bern) Part 1 / 2
What to do when in Switzerland? Such a hard question to answer because the entire country is full of amazing opportunities, views, places and sights! We spent 10 days, and the first 5 days we collaborated with the Buergenstock Resort in 3 different cities as a part of their Swiss Escape Package. This was honestly one of the best trips in my life! If you haven't been to Switzerland yet, GO NOW! It was on my bucket list for ages and ages...and finally we went for it this summer! It is all recorded in August 2019, so I am a bit behind in editing&uploading it, but better late than never!

Du bildest mit deinen Freunden ein Team von 2 - 5 Spielern und bekommst einen Auftrag, den ihr innerhalb 90 Minuten erfüllen müsst. Die Escape Missions finden nicht direkt bei URBANescape statt: Im Gegensatz zu den Escape Rooms werdet ihr nicht eingeschlossen sondern ihr begebt euch in den öffentlichen aber überdachten Raum. Ihr bekommt eine Karte und müsst den Weg dorthin und zurück finden. Das ist aber ganz einfach. Viel schwieriger sind die vielen Aufgaben zu lösen, die dort auf euch warten! Basel Switzerland has 5 mistakes tourists often make! Although Basel if famous for the arts and culture, it is often skipped by tourists. However, when you visit Basel, make sure to avoid certain mistakes tourists normally make.
Basel is located at a border triangle with France and Germany and visiting both countries is actually an activity locals do on a regular basis and so should you! However, if you decide to stay in the city, make sure to not only visit the Münster and Rathaus as well as the market square but head out and visit other parts of the city such as Spalentor and our favourite the Rhine river. The Rhine is great for walks, sunsets or a swim in summer! They also have cool ferries you need to try!

This show is all about the music in the moment it was played. It kind of functions like an audible dj diary. The idea behind it is that I choose a recent set that I played and deliver it to you unedited, raw and direct, in 60 minutes pieces on a weekly basis. For example, if I play a three hours set somewhere, it will be divided in three 60 minutes long AM/FM shows, so after three weeks you will have the full set. You could even put them into a playlist and listen to the whole set with seamless transitions. I try to keep the commentaries to a minimum, so that you get a maximum amount of music. If no one ever looked at art, would anybody even create it? And how much does art actually need buyers? These are by no means outrageous questions. So here's another, more concrete one: Is an art world conceivable without collectors, without such dependent relationships? The who-with-whom, how much, and why questions. And who are these collectors anyways? Privileged or unloved individuals? Men and women of conviction, or mere investors? Show-offs or idealists? There is some truth to all these cliches. But one thing is certain: owning works of art changes most collectors as deeply as creating them does the artist. An expression of a collector's personality, an art collection can also kindle the desire to share such private treasures with the public. This is the subject of the second BMW Art Guide by Independent Collectors. The global guide to private yet publicly accessible collections of contemporary art.

On the last day of the event, the two of us were arrested for reading this text inside of Art Basel's Collector's Lounge. Below is our press release and statement in response to the event.

Our loose collective has for the past year been collaborating around a series of Not-Happenings and Rhizomatic Encounters on the New York City subway system (i.e.: ) , dogmatically aimed, available, and permeable to anyone who happens into their proximity, resistant to the enclosure of elite venues and closed spaces. As such, we were thrilled to unfold an opportunity to insert ourselves into such a starkly contrasting context from that with which we typically associate.
Yesterday two of us were arrested after effecting an intervention in the “Collectors Lounge” Dragon’s Den of Art Basel’s closing day.
We had been touring through a series of interventions in Miami’s various fairs, each tailored to its specific tastes, all of which up until Sunday had gone off relatively seamlessly. When we approached Art Basel’s gates in our everyday attire, we were told by three tiers of increasingly serpentine security officials that we were dressed “Too Artistically” and that the ingress of “Art” to Art Basel was prohibited – a curiously banal note as our work is so perpetually denounced on the street as “Not Art.” We spent the next hour wandering around the outside of the fair asking visitors for their clothes.
After finally gathering a complete costume of Normal street clothes, we entered the fair and effected our short intervention in the Lounge, one of us articulating a very basic anti-Art-World rant while the the other simultaneously read aloud the text of the BMW guide to art collecting at Basel. The police report later detailed that our “protest” involved “30-40 demonstrators wearing mask[s]” – the two of us had apparently proliferated into exponential suggestion.
It is tragic to see one of the last tools of liberation and elevation appropriated by the very people who are standing on the throats of those they are keeping it from. Wealth is based on poverty, privilege on oppression, and we decry the colonial irony, privatization and commercialization of potentially transcendental forms and ideas by bourgeois elites.
As we exited the building, having been forbidden to pick up our checked bags by Basel security, police violently pounced on us from behind, supposedly having mistaken a prosthetic packing penis for a handgun. having wrestled us to the ground, bruised and battered us with their bodies and a barrage of sexually invasive questions, they then placed us in tiny adjacent cells in a prisoner transport van for the next five hours that became like a sauna. We sang. By six in the morning, after eight more hours of extremely productive learning within the state’s racist incarceratory complex (where it would behoove all white-skinned bodies to spend some time), our families and friends had come together to bail us out of the Dade County Jail.
I was arrested twice during Basel week for “art crimes”, fittingly (although initially unawares) concurrent to remembrance marches for Israel Hernandez, the young latino graffiti artist who was tasered to death by police 16 months ago. The glaring facts of these events obviate the entrenchment of racist policy and privileging of white bodies by the police force – that is to say, we have become aware that had we been in darker bodies, we would probably be dead.

Speed is made of several variables. To make it simple we'll talk about horizontal speed (since you're moving forward) and vertical speed since you ascend and descend for take off and landing.
Turbulence occurs when there are sudden changes in temperature, pressure and direction of wind around the aircraft. Most of the times the direction is either against you (head wind) or pushing you (tail wind). This explains why sometimes you get to your destination earlier than expected, because wind is pushing you making you travel faster.
Depending on the severity of the turbulence, crew might have to immediately interrupt service and stow the carts away in the galley.
For strong turbulence, Emirates pilots instruct their crew to discontinue service immediately.
Crew reaction must be to:
1) Tilt and wedge the cart
2) Apply breaks to the cart by pressing on the red lever at the bottom of it
3) Put hot beverages on the floor
4) Sit down on any seat or lap of any passenger
5) Fasten your seat belt or hold on to anything as tight as you can
Turbulence may happen at any given time, and not all of it can be predicted by the pilots. The worst turbulence, famously known as CAT or clear air turbulence, cannot be foreseen and predicted by the aircraft sensors and can kill you or severely injure you, if caught without wearing a seat belt.
If high pressure air meets low pressure air, high pressure air will move towards the low pressure air and mix with it to balance this difference in pressure. When air moves, wind is generated, and that wind causes Turbulence!

ZURICH — The world’s longest and most expensive railway tunnel opens on Wednesday in Switzerland.
The Gotthard Base Tunnel originates in Erstfeld in the canton of Uri and ends in Bodio in the canton of Tessin.
Stretching 57 kilometers long, it will overtake Japan’s Seikan Tunnel and the Channel Tunnel between England and France as the world’s longest.
At 2.3km under the Alps, it will also be the deepest railway tunnel in the world.
The tunnel uses a system of two one-way tracks, linked by emergency escape routes. Trains travel on an almost entirely flat track and are able to reach maximum speeds of 250 kilometers per hour.
The tunnel will cut the train journey time between Zurich and Milan by one hour to just about three hours.
The tunnel will be also used for freight trains. About 260 freight trains will be able to use the tunnel per day, compared to a maximum of 180 trains using the current route.
It is hoped that the tunnel will reduce the Alpine road traffic and consequently reduce CO2 emissions.
