Kansas City is the largest city in the U.S. state of Missouri. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city had an estimated population of 491,918 in 2018, making it the 38th most-populous city in the United States. It is the central city of the Kansas City metropolitan area, which straddles the Kansas–Missouri state line. Kansas City was founded in the 1830s as a Missouri River port at its confluence with the Kansas River coming in from the west. On June 1, 1850, the town of Kansas was incorporated; shortly after came the establishment of the Kansas Territory. Confusion between the two ensued and the name Kansas City was assigned to distinguish them soon after.
Sitting on Missouri's western boundary with Kansas, with Downtown near the confluence of the Kansas and Missouri Rivers, the modern city encompasses some 319.03 square miles (826.3 km2), making it the 23rd largest city by total area in the United States. Most of the city lies within Jackson County, but portions spill into Clay, Cass, and Platte counties. Along with Independence, one of its major suburbs, it serves as one of the two county seats of Jackson County. Other major suburbs include the Missouri cities of Blue Springs and Lee's Summit and the Kansas cities of Overland Park, Olathe, and Kansas City.
The city is composed of several neighborhoods, including the River Market District in the north, the 18th and Vine District in the east, and the Country Club Plaza in the south. Kansas City is known for its long tradition of jazz music and culture, especially theater – the city was the center of the Vaudevillian Orpheum circuit in the 1920s. It is also noted for its cuisine, including its distinctive Kansas City-style barbecue, and its craft breweries.

State song of California - I Love You, California
lyrics
---
The lyrics were written by Francis Beatty Silverwood (1863-1924), a Los Angeles clothier, and the words were subsequently put to music by Abraham Franklin Frankenstein (1873-1934), then conductor of the Orpheum Theatre Orchestra. The production was published by Hatch & Loveland, Music Printers, Los Angeles, California, and copyrighted by F.B. Silverwood in 1913. It was the official song of expositions held in San Francisco and San Diego in 1915.

Minneapolis (HD)
Here is a video of Minneapolis !
Minneapolis, nicknamed City of Lakes and the Mill City, is the county seat of Hennepin County, the largest city in the U.S. state of Minnesota, and the 48th largest in the United States. Its name is attributed to the city's first schoolteacher, who combined mni, the Dakota word for water, and polis, the Greek word for city.
Minneapolis lies on both banks of the Mississippi River, just north of the river's confluence with the Minnesota River, and adjoins Saint Paul, the state's capital. Known as the Twin Cities, Minneapolis-St. Paul is the 16th-largest metropolitan area in the U.S., with 3.5 million residents. The Metropolitan Council estimated the city's population in 2009 as 386,691.
The city is abundantly rich in water with over twenty lakes and wetlands, the Mississippi river, creeks and waterfalls, many connected by parkways in the Chain of Lakes and the Grand Rounds Scenic Byway. It was once the world's flour milling capital and a hub for timber, and today is the primary business center between Chicago and Seattle. Named America's most literate city, it has cultural organizations that draw creative people and audiences to the city for theater, visual art, writing, and music. The community's diverse population has a long tradition of charitable support through progressive public social programs, as well as private and corporate philanthropy.
The region is second only to New York City in live theater per capital and is the third-largest theater market in the U.S. after New York and Chicago, supporting the Illusion, Jungle, Mixed Blood, Penumbra, Mu Performing Arts, Bedlam Theatre, the Brave New Workshop, the Minnesota Dance Theatre, Red Eye, Skewed Visions, Theater Latté Da, In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theatre, Lundstrum Center for the Performing Arts, and the Children's Theatre Company. The city is home to Minnesota Fringe Festival, the United States' largest nonjuried performing arts festival. French architect Jean Nouvel designed a new three stage complex for the Guthrie Theater, a prototype alternative to Broadway founded in Minneapolis in 1963. Minneapolis purchased and renovated the Orpheum, State, and Pantages Theatres vaudeville and film houses on Hennepin Avenue now used for concerts and plays. Eventually, a fourth renovated theater joined the Hennepin Center for the Arts to become the Cowles Center for Dance and the Performing Arts, to be completed in 2011 and a home to more than one dozen performing arts groups and a provider of Web-based art education.
The Minneapolis Institute of Arts, built in 1915 in south central Minneapolis is the largest art museum in the city with 100,000 pieces in its permanent collection. A new wing designed by Michael Graves was completed in 2006 for contemporary and modern works and more gallery space. The Walker Art Center sits atop Lowry Hill, near downtown, and doubled its size with an addition in 2005 by Herzog & de Meuron and is continuing its expansion to 15 acres (6.1 ha) with a park designed by Michel Desvigne across the street from the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden. The Weisman Art Museum, designed by Frank Gehry for the University of Minnesota, opened in 1993. An addition, also designed by Gehry, is expected to open in 2011.

State Song of California - I Love You, California
●▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩ENGLISH۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬●
I Love You, California is the regional anthem of the U.S. state of California, originally published in 1913. It was adopted in 1951 and reconfirmed in 1987 as the official state song.
The lyrics were written by Francis Beatty Silverwood (1863–1924), a Los Angeles clothier,[1][2] and the words were subsequently put to music by Abraham Franklin Frankenstein (1873–1934), then conductor of the Orpheum Theatre Orchestra, with an inaugural performance by Mary Garden. Frankenstein was a cousin of the San Francisco Chronicle's long-time music and art critic Alfred V. Frankenstein. The song was published by Hatch & Loveland, Music Printers, Los Angeles, California, and copyrighted by F.B. Silverwood in 1913. It was the official song of expositions held in San Francisco and San Diego in 1915.

9 Eerie Abandoned Places That Will Creep You Out
Amusement parks, forgotten train stations, aborted housing projects and underwater cities range from hauntingly beautiful to downright creepy.
Here are nine Eerie Abandoned Places That Will Creep You out!
Maunsell Sea Forts, UK
Built during world war two and used as armed lookout towers. One fort off the coast of Suffolk was declared the Principality of Sealand by the Bates family in 1967. It’s not officially recognized as a sovereign state, but you can purchase a Lord, Baron or Count title from there if you’d like.
Mirny Diamond Mine, Russia
Almost a mile wide and visible from space, this Siberian open-pit mine was built in the Stalin era to supply the Soviet Union with industrial diamonds. Digging began in 1955, creating the second largest man-made hole in the world. The mine closed in the 2000s.
Hotel del Salto, Colombia
Said to be haunted by ghosts of former patrons who fell to their death, this cliffside “Mansion of Tequendama Falls” was built in the 1920s and was once an elegant hotel for wealthy tourists. However, the Bogotá river was found to be contaminated so the place closed down.
Manteno State Mental Hospital, USA
This Illinois psychiatric facility was built in 1927, and once housed over 8000 patients. A lot of experimental shock treatment and lobotomies took place here over the years. Allegations of secret medical testing by the military are also part of Manteno’s macabre legacy. It closed its doors in 1985.
Gulliver’s Kingdom, Japan
In the 1990s someone thought building a Gulliver’s Travels theme park at the foot of Mount Fuji would draw the crowds. Despite plenty of government support, the project failed after only a few years. The ill-advised theme park closed in 2001 and was demolished in 2007.
Pripyat, Ukraine
After the Chernobyl nuclear disaster irradiated the vicinity back in 1986, it remains untouched since the fateful incident and is now open to brave tourists who want to explore this post-apocalyptic ghost town.
Orpheum Theater, USA
The former Majestic Opera House was a vaudeville theatre and movie house in New Bedford, Massachusetts. It opened in April 15, 1912 (the same day the Titanic sank) but closed down in 1958.
Canfranc Rail Station, Spain
This was once an elegant Art Nouveau train station in the Pyrenees between France and Spain. After a derailment accident in 1970, the station closed down. However, deep underground, it now serves as a secret laboratory conducting research on dark matter.
Shi Cheng Underwater City, China
40 meters under Qiandao Lake is China’s very own “Atlantis of the East”. The preserved stone structures are like a time capsule dating back to the Ming and Qing dynasties, which ruled from 1368 to 1912.

Squeeze Tours The U.S.: “I Think That We're, Probably, a Popular Cult Band”
Squeeze Tours The USA: “I Think That We're, Probably, a Popular Cult Band”
NOTE: Thanks to our subscribers who caught our mistake on Chris' name. I haven't spoken the guys name out loud in 20 years but still got it wrong with a script right in front of me. LOL
August 20, 2019 – It's the 40th anniversary of the two main singer/songwriters and co-founders Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook. The band came in big with their self titled debut album in 1978 but it was their sophomore album, “Cool for Cats” the following year that had some critics comparing Difford and Tilbrook to Lennon and McCartney – this is usually the kiss of death. There were three British hits on that second album, “Up the Junction,””Slap and Tickle” plus the title tune. So far Squeeze has had 12 hits in England and only 2 in the U.S. “Hourglass” from 1987 and “853-5937 the following year though tunes like “Pulling Mussels (From the shell),” “Tempted” and “Cool for Cats” got loads of airplay on FM radio.
Difford told Billboard Magazine they don't always feel that they did the best versions of tunes when they recorded them so expect some changes on their US tour. (they are in Englewood, NJ. Tonight, I don't like looking backwards, mostly, but this being the object of the tour, it was really lovely to do that. To examine the songs and treat them like they were new songs. Some of the versions aren't exactly like the records and probably, where we didn't like the records, they sound a bit different.
Both singer/songwriters have had their own solo careers and that's helped them stay together. Difford said, I think we've managed to get this far by just giving ourselves a lot of space. We don't see each other from one tour to the next and or from one record to the next, and I think that distance and that gap gives you renewed enthusiasm. And a desire to be back in the band that you started when you were 17 years old.” Tilbrook adds, I think that the key to maintaining our partnership is trying our best to work together and I will always be honest with Chris. I've always said that Chris Difford was my biggest influence. I don't believe that any artist can part and parcel themselves up because you either give your all to something or you don't, and we've always given our all to everything we've worked on.
Interestingly Tilbrook, even after 15 albums, doesn't consider Squeeze a heritage act adding, I think that we're, probably, a popular cult band. We never certainly had mass success here at any one time. On the east coast and in the Midwest, maybe Chicago, and the west coast. But we have a hardcore group of people that like us. I'll tell you that there's an interesting thing about streaming now is that there's a whole bunch of kids that are coming to our shows that have nothing to do with parents, I believe. They've discovered us for themselves, because with streaming you just have this whole buffet of stuff.
The guys also said that, Selling records and chart positions is something from the past, like a language I'd almost forgotten about. I suppose as songwriters we're a bit like watchmakers: people don't want new watches anymore but they still want to read the time.” - by John Beaudin

LYRICS
How can I decide what's right?
When you're clouding up my mind
I can't win your losing fight all the time
How can I ever own what's mine
When you're always taking sides
But you won't take away my pride
No not this time
Not this time
How did we get here?
Well I used to know you so well
How did we get here?
Well I think I know
The truth is hiding in your eyes
And its hanging on your tongue
Just boiling in my blood
But you think that I can't see
What kind of man that you are
If you're a man at all
Well I will figure this one out
On my own
I'm screaming, I love you so
On my own
My thoughts you can't decode
How did we get here?
Well I used to know you so well, yeah
How did we get here?
Well I think I know
Do you see what we've done?
We've gone and made such fools of ourselves
Do you see what we've done?
We've gone and made such fools of ourselves
Yeah
How did we get here?
Well I used to know you so well, yeah yeah
How did we get here?
Well I used to know you so well
I think I know
I think I know
Ooh, there is something
I see in you
It might kill me
I want it to be true
