A walk in the park...
Kælkebakke i Østre Anlæg
Lidt sne og en kælkebakke. Mere skulle der ikke til før børn og voksne strømmede til Østre Anlæg
Så kom der endeligt lidt sne i København og det skal udnyttes maksimal med en kælketur i øster anlæg København. Det er ikke fordi der er meget at byde på, en lille bakke på omkring 8 meter med et meget lille fald som er placeret bag ved Statens Museum for Kunst
Der var kulde rekord natten inden i Danmark hvor der blev målt -- 24 grader i Odense og -- 4 graden i København og 3 cm sne

Ørstedsparken is a park in central Copenhagen, Denmark. It lies between Nørre Voldgade and Nørre Farimagsgade, and is owned by Copenhagen municipality. The park was laid out by landscape architect Henrik Flindt in the years 1876-1879 and was opened for the public on October 27, 1879.
The park has 7 entrances, and an area of 6.5 ha, of which a lake in the park takes up 1.8 ha. The park was designated a preserved area in 1963, and has by and large looked the same since it was laid out.
The park is laid out on parts of the old city fortifications, like the Tivoli Gardens, Copenhagen Botanical Garden and Østre Anlæg.

Ørstedsparken is a public park in central Copenhagen, Denmark. One in a series of parks which were laid out on the grounds of the old fortification ring after it was decommissioned in the 1870s, the park still retains elements from the old fortifications in its topography—a section of the moat now serve as an elongated lake and former bastions appear in the landscape as small hills. The park is named for the brothers Ørsted, the politician and jurist Anders Sandøe Ørsted, and the physicist Hans Christian Ørsted, who both are commemorated with monuments in the park.
Monuments and statues!
The monument over Hans Christian Ørsted stands on the former Holck's Bastion. It was designed by Jens Adolf Jerichau and erected in 1876, when work on the park just started. The monument consists of a bronze statue of Ørsted mounted on a granite plinth. Ørsted is seen demonstrating the effect of an electric current on a magnetic needle. With his hands he is connecting the wires from an electric battery, thereby making a magnet oscillate. At the foot of the statue sit the three Norns or goddesses of destiny in Norse mythology, Urðr (the past) who is noting the past, and Ørsted's name, on a tablet, Verðandi (the present), who with her distaff is spinning the thread of fate, and Skuld (the future), who is silently awaiting the fullness of time with a rune stick in her hand.
Why locals love it
Once a part of a fortification that protected Copenhagen from the Swedes, this beautiful inner-city park is now a popular summer hangout for both- the locals and the passer-bys.
Why you should visit it
Get your best blanket, grab a sandwich in 'Pisserenden' and bring a fair-haired Danish boy or girl to the park to catch some of the rare Copenhagen summer sunrays on the steep slopes above the lake. There is also a café to be found on the north end.

Sound of Rain - Nature recording Copenhagen May 2013
This is 25 minutes of relaxing Nature recording of the sound of rain, recorded May 21st, 2013 with high quality microphones in a central park in Copenhagen. This park originates from of the old Fortification ring encircling the medieval part of the city. This area is called Østre Anlæg, and I found a remote green bush area, just down to the lake. In the rainy evening the area appeared quiet and deserted, however trains from the the train track and station just down the slope on the other side of the lake produced some unmistakable radical cuts in the relaxing soundscape.

Fødselsdagsgave 2010: På Segwaytur i København
Jeg fik en Segway-tur i København i fødselsdagsgave. To timer med guide rundt til bla. Østre Anlæg, søerne, Strædet og Amalienborg.
At lege turist i København var sådan set sjovt nok, men det rigtig fede var selvfølgelig at køre på Segway i to timer!

Come along as Peter Kær, Museum docentat at The National Gallery of Denmark, visits the collection Danish and International Art after 1900. Get a taste of which artworks to experience here and hear which ones are the personal favourites of Peter Kær.
ABOUT THE EXHIBITION:
Modern art from the 20th century and the very latest contemporary art now fills the exhibition rooms of the Gallery's white building, offering a wide-ranging display of the main movements within Danish art. The exhibition includes rooms focusing on major individual figures, on collective movements, and on important works and trends from the international art scene of the period.
The long walkway extending through the building acts like a kind of timeline. As you move through the large exhibition rooms facing the Østre Anlæg park you also move chronologically through a sequence of art from the early 20th century to the present day.
The large exhibition rooms on one side of the walkway offers visitors the chance to orient themselves and get an overview of art from the early 20th century to the present day. Each room presents a specific period.
The smaller rooms on the other side of the corridor also follow the overall chronological order, but their focus is aimed elsewhere: they offer visitors the opportunity to focus on tendencies, groupings, artists or particular issues.

Holbæk får lørdag den 31. august besøg af to musikalske sværvægtere, nemlig Kashmir og Tina Dickow. Fra den lokale scene stiller vi også et stærkt hold med Time Machine -- som varmer op for de to hovedartister.Det er et projekt, der er arbejdet på gennem snart lang tid og endelig er alle aftaler med både Kashmirs og Tina Dickows management og ikke mindst Holbæk Kommune faldet på plads.
Kashmir har lige udgivet deres syvende studie album, med titlen E.A.R. Det er 5 år siden, Kashmir sidst gæstede Holbæk og det er med stolthed, at vi nu kan præsentere Kashmir i Holbæk. Vi har indgået en fremragende aftale med deres management om, at det bliver den eneste udendørs koncert, de giver på Sjælland i 2013.
Tina Dickow -- som sprøjter billetter ud over alt, hvor hun spiller i øjeblikket i en sådan grad, at der alle steder meldes udsolgt. Tina Dickow har heller ikke været i Holbæk, de sidste 5 år.
