Oude Kerk - Amsterdam
De Oude Kerk is het oudste, nog bestaande, gebouw van Amsterdam. Het oudste gedeelte is de toren. In vele fasen is er tussen 1300 en 1578 aan de kerk gebouwd.
Het was oorspronkelijk een katholieke kerk gewijd aan Sint Nicolaas, Toen na 1400 bij de Dam een nieuwe kerk werd gebouwd, kreeg de eerste de naam Oude Kerk.

Oude Kerk (Old Church) - Amsterdam (Netherlands)
The Oude Kerk (English: Old Church) is Amsterdam’s oldest building and oldest parish church, founded circa 1213 and consecrated in 1306 by the bishop of Utrecht with Saint Nicolas as its patron saint. After the Reformation in 1578 it became a Calvinist church, which it remains today. It stands in De Wallen, now Amsterdam's main red-light district. The square surrounding the church is the Oudekerksplein.

Deze videoserie hoort bij het boek 'Tot Gods eer', handreiking voor gesprekken over liturgie.
Er verandert veel in de kerk: er wordt geëxperimenteerd, gepionierd en veel gediscussieerd. Door dit alles is er voor veel gemeentes verwarring als het gaat om de liturgie. Dit was voor de Protestantse Kerk reden om liturgie op haar agenda te zetten. De liturgiewetenschapper Marcel Barnard schreef op verzoek van de kerkleiding een gespreksboek, voor predikanten, kerkenraden en gemeenteleden. In dit boek, beschrijft hij de protestantse liturgie, licht hij de achtergronden ervan toe, en geeft hij een kleine protestantse theologie van de liturgie. Daarnaast laat hij zien uit welke verschillende tradities de protestantse liturgie wordt gevoed.

Sunday, 12 April: Easter Sunday in Amsterdam.
Being an early riser, I decide to go out and shoot some random video of the Red Light District. These scenes are only steps away from De Wallen, the little alley ways where the women stand in windows and doorways, waiting for clients to call on them.
Outside the Old Church and between Easter morning services, we'll see Belle, a sculpture erected in honor of sexworkers all over the world. Nearby you'll see The Old Church coffeeshop and Sexyland adult shop.
Crowds of tourists make their way through Oudekerksplein, enjoying the beautiful morning weather as the bells of the church chime.

Oude Kerk Amsterdam
Victoria Hotel in Amsterdam is a big, old four-star hotel in front of the Central Station in Amsterdam. From the outside it is a Victorian building indeed, manifesting its 1890 birth certificate with heavily ornamented façade, carved stone decorations and cast iron decorative balconies. As the hotel faces the station, if you arrive to Amsterdam by train, you do not need a taxi. You may just walk off the platform with your luggage to the hotel.

The Carillon of the Oude Kerk in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, playing automatically by means of the tower clock mechanism, built in 1619. The music was programmed by Gideon Bodden in April 2012 and plays every hour of the day until November 2012.

Je loop zo vanuit 'het leven' de rust in.
Jezus wilde tussen de hoeren en tollenaars zitten en met hun eten. Hij hield van hun... Het evangelie is zo mooi! Dat ervaar je als je de Oudekerk in Amsterdam binnen loopt. En dan mag je ervaren, de genade is ook voor mij, omdat God van alle mensen houd.
