Day 1: We sail from Split to Brač, at Milna to the lovely restaurant only a walk away.
Day 2: Brač to Zečevo for a swim, to Hvar's town of Vrboska for the night.
Day 3: Vrboska to Bol on Brač to see Vidova Gora and onto a party at Zlatni Rat
Day 4: Bol to Vis for mopeds around the island.
Day 5: The town of Vis to Komiža to go scuba diving then to dinner.
Day 6: Vis to Hvar Town to eat and party.
Day 7: Hvar Town to Split.
Shot with the GoPro Hero 5, GoPro Hero 4 Silver, DJI Mavic Pro, Canon 7D and iPhone 7.
Check out the full article here:
Saturday, June 10: Depart from ACI Marina Split for the far southwestern side of the island Brač, near the town of Milna. We walked to Kapetanovo Lozje for dinner (personally, probably my favorite meal of the week).
Sunday, June 11: The next morning, I emerged from the cave that was our cabin to find us passing an ex-Yugoslavian military shelter for submarines. “What the what?!” It was a concrete tunnel leading into the island and I wanted to go iiiin. .
Monday, June 12: From Vrboska we headed for Bol on the island of Brač. We anchored for a bit here and a few of us jumped in, but for some reason in this area the water was a bit “oily” (but nothing even close to the TX coast; it was still stunning. You must realize how spoiled we were at this point.).
Tuesday, June 13: Slightly hungover, we made our way to the island Vis. Here, on the north side of the island, was that other submarine shelter Bruno had promised.
Wednesday, June 14: Wednesday brought us to the Green Cave (part of a tiny island on the southeast side of Vis). Wednesday brought many others there as well.
Thursday, June 15: Marina Palmižana was our next stop (cheaper to dock here and taxi than dock at Hvar Town). After showers at the marina, we boat-taxied to Hvar Town. Suh-wanky!
Friday, June 16: Our last full day on the boat, we set sail to island Šolta, where we casually ate, swam, and lounged in the Stomorska inlet (one of the only sandy areas we encountered in all of the Dalmatian coast, and a very calm, quiet area).

Sail Croatia by Private Chartered Yacht with AdventureWomen
Travel to Croatia for an active, summer adventure sailing the Croatian coastline on a private chartered yacht. Discover the beauty and history of Croatia and its many islands surrounded by the Adriatic Sea. Experience the camaraderie of small group travel with like-minded women.
29. It Stalked us for nearly 2 HOURS | 2 night passage Dubrovnik to Corfu | Sailing Greece
This week we leave Croatia and complete a 2 night passage to Greece. We check out of Gruz Harbour in Dubrovnik at 9pm and set sail for Corfu. Our plan is to sail directly off the coast of Dubrovnik before catching the strong Northerly winds predicted, sailing past Montenegro and Albania before arriving at Ipsos on Corfu Island, Greece.
Unfortunately not all goes to plan with the wind and forecast and after a great start when we sail the first 4 hours but then have to motor sail before the unthinkable happens, we have to motor. Fortunately this is short lived and the wind gods allow for a down wind sail. The conditions are still messy and this leads to a uncomfortable sea state.
During the trip we are fortunate to be accompanied by two large pods of Dolphins, 1 pod deep in the Adriatic sea off Montenegro and one close to the rocky mountains off Albania, both pods bow ride Kawai which is a thrill and it's an awesome experience.
With strong winds off the mountains Kawai is inundated with beach toys floating amongst the big seas. We collect three floatation devices but see many more but due to the sea state find them impossible to collect.
Jase tries his luck fishing the entire trip without luck. Coming into Corfu we are stalked by a huge Tuna which follows Kawai from Albania to Greece. The Tuna is not interested in the two lures behind Kawai but effortlessly swims up and back circling Kawai.
The winds really pick up as we sail the Corfu coastline reaching 34 knots as we pull the sails down at our anchorage at Ipsos. We find a nice sand patch where we drop the anchor and after a couple of hours of strong winds the bay settles where we swim in the clear waters as the sun goes down.
We love completing over night passages, as you never know what you are going to see or get which makes it so exciting. You are more isolated making for more of an adventure. The sailing on this trip is also more challenging with a larger swell and inconsistent winds at times. All in all it was a great 2 night, 2 day passage, hopefully you enjoy watching it unfold.
We really enjoyed sailing the Croatian Islands but can't wait to explore the Greek Islands. We have sailed some of the Greek Islands previously but with so many different Islands to choose from the coming months will be a lot of fun. Subscribe if you want to see more :)
About us:
Our names are Jason and Tracey and we traded our house, cars, business, job and security for freedom, adventure, travel and living simply amongst nature and the seas on our 45 foot Hanse 445 sailing boat, Kawai.
We don't know exactly where the winds will take us at this stage but over the next year we hope to sail to Turkey, Greece, Montenegro, Croatia.
Jase loves making travel videos and we decided to upload to youtube to share our adventure. We really hope you enjoy and feel free to drop us a comment any time to chat or subscribe to follow along :)

Head south to diminutive coastal Montenegro on this day trip from Dubrovnik. Take a scenic drive on the southern Dalmatian Coast and experience small Adriatic villages and towns, including the UNESCO-listed Kotor, situated in Europe’s southernmost fjord. Admire Sveti Stefan, a medieval island turned luxury hotel, and spend some time in Budva, a walled medieval town on the sea, like a mini Dubrovnik. Finish with a ferry ride back to Dubrovnik. Get picked up at your hotel in Dubrovnik and then hop inside the air-conditioned vehicle to make the drive south to Montenegro. Drink in the views of the Adriatic Sea and the Dubrovnik Riviera and learn about the history and culture of the area from your local guide. After crossing the border to Montenegro, twist and turn with the road, going around the large Bay of Kotor, and passing through charming villages along the way. Then stop in Perast, a lovely town at the base of St Elijah Hill. Consider taking the optional boat ride to Our Lady of the Rocks island to check out the baroque-era church (at own expense). The next stop is Kotor, situated in a fjord and one of the most eye-pleasing Montenegrin towns. Once there, begin a walking tour that goes throughout the squares and narrow cobbled streets, taking you to historic churches such as the Cathedral of St Tryphon. Then take some free time to do some wandering — consider marching up the 1,350 steep steps to the San Giovanni Castle for an incredible view and photo opportunity — or sit down for a drink or a snack (at own expense). After Kotor, drive down the coast further until you reach Sveti Stefan (St Stephen). Once a medieval fishing village with a small inlet connecting it to the mainland, Sveti Stefani is now a luxury hotel. After gawking at the island-turned-resort, head to Budva, a 15-minute drive north of Sveti Stefan. This gorgeous walled city on the sea boasts attractive beaches and narrow cobbled streets. Take some free time to explore or sit down for a meal (at own expense). Take a ferry ride across the Bay of Kotor and then enjoy a final scenic drive along the coastal roads of Montenegro to end your day. You’ll be returned to your Dubrovnik hotel.

We Dodge a 40+knot Bora as we make our way down to Vela Luka where we still can’t escape the nudity with an ice cream bloke making me (Ryan) a very “revealing” ice cream! We then head over to Korcula town to explore this medieval fortified town on the eastern most point of Korcula Island.
Sailing in Croatia has been amazing as we are making our way from Split to Dubrovnik (Kings Landing) teaching Wayne and Debbie the ropes of sailing!

STOKE AFLOAT CROATIA CRUISE
Get Stoked on the craziest cruise to hit the high seas!
We depart from Split in Croatia and hopalong the most beautiful islands in between until we reach Dubrovnik. There we’ll fulfill all of our Croatian fantasies, During the day we’ll be swimming in crystal clear lagoons, cliff jumping from terror inducing heights, and exploring old fortresses, and by night, we’ll hit up the best bars and clubs, including Carpe Diem, DEEP, and Croatia’s biggest club Revelin, before turning around and doing it all over again, returning with blurred memories and perfect tans.
We’ll sleep on a gorgeous ship fully facilitated for fulfilling your sailing fantasies: toilets and showers, onboard chef and fully stocked bar. And this wouldn’t be Stoke Travel if we didn’t make sure you had an alcoholic beverage in your hand at your command. For just €10 per day you can drink all the beer and sangria that your heart desires.
BUT WHERE WILL WE GO AND WHAT WILL WE DO?
From ancient walled cities to the highest coastal mountain range in the Mediterranean. Historic islands and raging party ports. Nightclubs and snorkeling. Sunbaking on the deck or swan diving into the ocean. If it is fun and if it is near water we’ll be doing it.
WHO’S ONBOARD?
Don’t worry, the Stoke Crew aren’t going to be the ones sailing the ship, the family that owns and operates the boat will be in charge of that, with their generations of experience sailing these waters. We’ll have our Stoke Travel guide on board inventing historical facts, encouraging binge drinking and convincing cute members of the opposite sex to make out with you. The average number of wenches and scurvy dogs onboard is about 24. Considering that they’ve booked with Stoke Travel you can be assured that they’re going to be just about the funnest, loosest canons getting around Europe this summer.
TELL ME MORE ABOUT THE BOAT
Our boats are traditional family owned and operated Croatian sailing vessels and no two are the same. The deck is designed for lying prostrate and praying to the sun gods (and private to – all the better for frying those eggs or giving the impossible-to-tan man’s upper thighs a workout), with the all-important designated shady areas for Scotsmen, albinos and those wanting to swill a beer and trade tales of the high seas. MarinaKastelaPelorus
Marina Kastela in Croatia is our home base for the next year. This marina is packed with nice boats but most are gone for the week. This morning Pelorus one of the worlds largest private yachts, number 19 currently, arrived for a visit. It parked on the mega yacht pier and made the Yacht Kogo look small. Pelorus is 377 ft long and has two helicopter landing pads. Beautiful boat but takes a crew of 46 to operate. Kogo is not small either at 236 feet. Details about the boats are on the internet. This marina berths plenty of regular yachts but they don't mind the billionaires coming in! It doesn't matter how big your boat is there will always be someone who comes in with a bigger one.

Last week we all saw Brittni puke up dinner on the passage to Croatia, so this week we arrive into Cavtat dropping our anchor for the first time to do a mediterranean mooring! We arrived around midnight with no one to take our lines, but we had a huge crowd of tourists leaning over the fence filming and taking photos, watching us as we attempt this for the very first time! It was so funny but thankfully I watched an epic tutorial on YouTube before the attempt!
(Thank you to Sailing Virgins) |
Ryan also gets scammed $1,000 from an ATM in Cavtat and we meet an awesome family on vacation from the UK where Ryan does his first Back Flip off the boat!
As we make our way up the coast towards Split, we tie stern to the rocks for another first time (alone), and Ryan has a hissy fit, but we actually did really well. Everyone knows these things cause divorces, luckily our love is strong!!! lol
Brittni finds an eel, Ryan gets scared of an eel, Jackson swims and our MacBooks still broken! It's all happening in Croatia!!!

24. Our own private Island Paradise | Exploring Albania | Sailing Sunday
If your subscribe button doesn’t have a D on the end, then click that button now to follow along the journey ????
After checking into Albania and exploring Sarande, this week we head south to Ksamil Islands for a few nights to dodge some wind and swell rolling into the harbor.
Ksamil Islands are absolutely amazing and not only are we the only boat anchored in the whole area, but every morning/afternoon we had the beach all to ourselves, with the exception of a puppy we found!
After an amazing week exploring the islands and swimming everyday, we check out of Sarande heading north to explore some more incredible anchorages along the coast of Albania.
Albania coast guard info:
To check into Albania you need an agent. We emailed our agent a few nights prior (details in the video) and only needed to call on VHF as we entered into the harbor. We then needed to inform our agent that we were going to Ksamil islands for 3 nights then returning to Sarande. Upon arriving at Ksamil islands and anchoring we received a friendly wave from a coast guard, then when returning to Sarande to leave for the final time we checked out of the port with our agent and informed them of our next port, Durres, but we will be anchoring the whole way up the coast along the way. It was that simple!
Please Like and Subscribe to follow our journey as we sail up the coast in Albania!

ONE WEEK IN DUBROVNIK: Game of Thrones Film Locations & Secret Beaches
ONE WEEK IN DUBROVNIK: Game of Thrones Film Locations & Secret Beaches
The great Croatia road trip finally reaches its destination: Dubrovnik! First though, the Diemers have a little bit of highway left to navigate as well as spend some time on the sea. They're on a boat (on a boat, 'cuz we're sailing on a boat) when they take the ferry from Ploce to Trpnaj. (Yes- Trpnaj. It's a place. No-it's not misspelled. We googled it.)
A quick stop at the walls of Ston and before they know it, they're passing over a beautiful suspension bridge into the heart of Dubrovnik. An adventure through the old city walls yields both fake and accurate historical information as well as something that will become a passion for the couple the rest of their journey-lying about historical information.
While in Dubrovnik, Allison gets more into character as Daenerys, The Unburnt, Queen of the Andals, the Rhoynar, and of the First Men, Queen of Meereen ,Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Chains, Mother of Dragons. Enjoy the .4 seconds of the Game of Thrones theme….didn't want to break any copyright laws.
